And people think Caserio is going to be a savior and he never requested an interview with Saleh. Tea leaves/Handwriting on the wall, Caserio is only interested in a head coach who is familiar with and can run the Bill Belichick Offense and Defense systems. Because that's all Caserio knows. Also why Bienemey was originally overlooked. We don't want no stinking WCO in this building. We made a tremendous mistake in not getting Robert Saleh. I see the Jets fighting for superbowls in the near future. We still dont know Easterby's role. Till he gets fired 3 years from now.
Absolutely agree with this. The WCO would seem to be a superior offense for DWs skill set. Unfortunately DW himself seems sold on staying in this EP crap. I suppose is all fine and dandy IF you seem to know what you’re doing which for however many years now we occasionally show signs we do. I hate itAnd people think Caserio is going to be a savior and he never requested an interview with Saleh. WCO have principles as with all the schemes. Andy Reid is running a version of it, but not the same version he ran with Philly or the one he learned under Holmgren.Absolutely agree with this. I disagree. Owners have been saved by coaches & players throughout the history of the league.
Rams, Patriots, Cowboys, Arizona. You get lucky & a coach plus player (specifically QB) & you look like a genius even though you do the same crap crap owners do.
With DeShaun, Caserio, & a good coach, Cal could’ve looked like a genius.

I couldn't care less about his wiki page or any youthful transgressions. Look at his his teams offensive (in more ways than one) production when he was an OC who actually had to game plan and call games.

In a day and age where college football scores more closely resemble basketball, EBs offenses appeared to be playing baseball.
From everything I have read, he's pretty much OB II without the bad attitude and HC experience.
I absolutely do not want a HC hired based on ethnicity, regardless of said ethnicity. I want the best HC for the Houston Texans hired.
If EB is hired as the next Texans HC, I hope he is the next BB and lets his coordinators coordinate their respective sides of the ball and he is more of a director than hands on coach.
I disagree, I don't think Watson wants EB because of ethnicity...I think he wants him because of the offensive success displayed by the Chiefs. EB's past is his past, it seems most of those against the hire have not considered that EB has been learning from Andy Reid in the 7 years he has been there.Well, then you aren't going to get what you want. EB will be hired strictly because of his ethnicity. Why? Because that's what DW4 wants. DW4 is essentially running the team and we will have another 6 or so yrs of the lost decade left. As a Texans fan I hope to see the day that this team is run correctly.

Who are these "finalists", it seems like every other day I read of interviews the Texans have conducted. So do you think it's happenstance that 3 of the 4 finalists were minority candidates?
I dont.
From what I've read and heard pretty consistently on the radio:Who are these "finalists", it seems like every other day I read of interviews the Texans have conducted.
Only way that happens is if we don’t hire Bieniemy & our new HC can talk Kafka out of Bieniemy’s shadow.Mike Kafca would be my choice for OC.
Whos the 3rd one? EB, Saleh and?So do you think it's happenstance that 3 of the 4 finalists were minority candidates?
I dont.
Frazier for one..Hiring the wrong coach will not help the team.Whos the 3rd one? EB, Saleh and?
Frazier wasn't on watsons list was he???Frazier for one..Hiring the wrong coach will not help the team.
Unless we interview and hire Kafka for OC, THEN hire EB as HC.Only way that happens is if we don’t hire Bieniemy & our new HC can talk Kafka out of Bieniemy’s shadow.
Because if we hire Bieniemy, word is Kafka will be KC’s OC.
There is no List as far as we know.Frazier wasn't on watsons list was he???
I heard they did a 2nd interview with Caldwell Friday. So far he’s the only one who has had a 2nd interview.EB
Frazier
Culley

The first was pre Caserio I think. Maybe it's as simple as Caserio wanting to interview him first hand
Wait... wasn't Josh signed as a player a few weeks ago?

Are you simply going to ***** and moan about who "runs" the team until the McNair's finally give in and hire you? I would say ethnicity plays a part in DW4 wanting EB, but I would also say it's vastly more likely that DW4 sees the offensive powerhouse that is the Kansas City Chiefs and wants an offense similar to it. I doubt DW4 has done much research past watching game film and reading the reading headlines and stat lines.Well, then you aren't going to get what you want. So he didn’t want to interview the others they interviewed before he got here. Yeah, it’s that simple. The first was pre Caserio I think. Maybe it's as simple as Caserio wanting to interview him first hand
You mean there are other ethnically divers HC candidates out there that Watson isn’t endorsing? Are you simply going to ***** and moan about who "runs" the team until the McNair's finally give in and hire you? He doesn’t want Kelly because of his offensive system, he wants him because he’s a good coach. So he wants Bieniemy because he wants what KC has, but he wants to keep Kelly too? Sounds to me like Watson just needs to stay in his lane and play QB.

Is he though? When all you've ever known in the NFL is what the Texans have had to offer, how would you know what a good coach is?He doesn’t want Kelly because of his offensive system, he wants him because he’s a good coach.

Why would they, after the fiasco of having a person with zero personnel experience promoted to be their GM, consider a guy who's a career backup who has nothing more than a few years experience at the high school level in coaching to be their next NFL franchise HC?
Can Todd Bowles slow down Andy Reid’s offence? I’ve not been convinced by the Bucs O through the season, I think that D is underrated.
Bowles HC/DC
Keep Kelly as OC but bring in a seperate running game coordinator and get better on the ground.
My guess....and according to many who state this as a basis for past, current, and future....Mahomes 2022 payday will toss his figure over the 13.2% threshold which will doom the Chiefs much quicker than any DC's style of defense. I wonder if Reid has planned for this eventual situation?
