Double Barrel said:The first that springs to mind is the last game of the 2004 season against the Browns. It was our first chance at a non-losing season and a .500 record, and we just came out flat and lousy. It's been downhill ever since.
The OT loss to the Patriots was disappointing, but they were the Superbowl Champions that year. So really, that showed more promise than anything - we could compete with the big dogs! (and we beat the other Superbowl team Panthers that year, too).
I'd say it's the Cleveland game right now...until my memory is refreshed with another loss.
eriadoc said:I voted for the Pats game because, by the 4th quarter, I really felt like we should win that game. Similar to what Herv said, I haven't gotten my hopes up for many games, and that one was no exception. Somehow, the Texans made me believe that day. Foolish, foolish me.
The Rams loss was really sort of ho-hum for me because, like others have said, I just had that feeling they'd blow it.
Kaiser Toro said:How about Tony Banks that year leading us to a victory over the Super Bowl runner up and taking the eventual champs to OT. The last time I checked he had to work with the same Oline as Carr did.
That was painful:God of Wine said:I would have to say the Titan game. Drew Bennett shushing the crowd. I don't think I was heartbroken more like pissed off.![]()
run-david-run said:The Vikes game was following our first ever two winning streak after the KC and Oakland game. Down 21-0 at halftime, we somehow battle back, both AJ and Carr have career days and we tied it in the 4th quarter. Then we go to OT, lose the coin toss and never get the ball back...that win would have put us at 3-2...
