Mock Draft among boardmembers?

There's been a bit of rising and falling. Some steals at the end of the first and Bunkley just fell off the table, what happened there?

That's why I took him. I have seen mocks where he is in the mid first round. Plus the Eagles need a DT.

Cowboys take Sinorice Moss, WR, Miami.
...sorry it took so long to make this one. I had ISP problems lately.

Nice picks guys....I think so far this draft has been pretty realistic....I saw a mock on another board where the Texans took Bush at 1, and Marcus Vick at 33....Kinda scary to me....But I like a lot of the teams picks...

Like in the board moderated draft, the 12 hour time limit shouldnt be to make trades etc, it is for schedules and such....just trying to let ppl know so this moves along well...If you want to trade, please try and do it before your turn is up.

Yeah for real...You even PM'd me saying that you were trying to work a deal....and u must have read my post...you have lost the right to select in this round...Im going to make your pick....

Whats the pick gonna be?

I missed the part in his PM that said he will probably select Rocky McIntosh....So I changed the pick now...TMac is on the clock...

A few picks have been posted...its kinda pointless for me to have picked both picks for a couple of teams but I guess thats the reality when people sign up and forget about things.

I feel bad for you dude, I really dude. Don't feel bad though. You have run a solid draft and the *******s that have signed up and didnt do their job does not detract from what you have done in any way. You get a virtual pat on the back from me!

Claude Wroten, DT, LSU. Wow good timing. Several DT's have dropped in this draft and with Kris Jenkins health in doubt and no real youth on the D-line outside of Peppers the Panthers gladly select Wroten. Carolina actually wanted this guy in the first but were desperate to find a guy who can open up the middle of the field, give Steve Smith some help, and they found that in Mercedes Lewis. Now as they can't believe their fortune they snag a guy who can disrupt the middle of the o-line giving JP a field day on the outside. With solid tackling skills, stout run D, and the ability to get in the backfield, this was a no-brainer.

I would offer to pick up another team, but our draft is almost over. Well one more round anyway. Long as nothing crazy happens in the next few picks the Steelers are having a great draft.

I am very pleased with the two Bears Picks thus far:
1. Leonard Pope
2. Davin Joseph

In 2 rounds we have dramatically improved our team. We have gotten the stud TE we have needed for years. Plus we shored up the one problem area on our offensive line.

good job :thumbup

I think everyone has made solid picks thus far....no real reaches...if a moderator happens to read this, is it possible to get the summary page updated, its getting long and confusing

Round 3 has started and the Titans have back to back selections...This is the last round guys so dont forget about it...hopefully it will run smoothly

So what does everyone think of my draft so far?

Chad Jackson WR Florida
Laitusi Lutui OG USC

I would say what I'm looking to pick up in the 3rd round, but as I'm picking last I do want some players to reach me.

seems solid. addressed some needs with possible impact players. B-

How do you like them now?

1) Steven Jackson (RB) - Acquired in trade down from #4 to #11.

2) A.J.Hawk (OLB) - Picked at #11. Pairing Hawk & Vilma at LB will be very interesting.

3) Matt Roth (DE) - Acquired in trade of Abraham. We couldn't reach a long term deal with Abraham & were forced to trade him.

4) Daryn Colledge (OT) - In an attempt to upgrade the LT position, Colledge will eventually replace Adrian Jones.

5) Richard Marshall (CB) - Will replace, the soon to be lost to free agency, Ty Law. While Law had 10 picks last year & is still a solid CB, he's also 32 years old & looking for a big pay day.

6) Greg Blue (FS) - Kerry Rhodes is too soft a hitter & while Blue might give up the occasional big play, he more than makes up for it with intimidation. The dude will flat out take your head off.

We lose Abraham & most likely Ty Law. However, Bryan Thomas is ready to step up & fill Abraham's shoes, & Roth will fill the backup role that Thomas had been filling. Trading Abraham netted us Roth & Marshall. Richard Marshall should be able to take over the CB position vacated by Ty Law.

So, what do you think of the Jet's mock draft?

you got two excellent players in Hawk & Colledge which if you had no trades involved would be at the least improving the Jets for next season. what I'm hearing now however is that the Jets might be inclined to take a QB with their first rd. pick namely Cutler at #4. I'm not crazy about him if I'm Jets management I'd inquire about trading up for Leinart, maybe to the Texans & shed some payroll in the process such as you did. Going defense with Marshall and Blue, although not a lock at least addresses needs. B-

DENVER BRONCOS-

Michael Huff- FS/CB Best player in the draft at his position should solidify the Bronco secondary along with D. J. Williams, Champ Bailey & Domonique Foxworth. Lynch has been extended so his experience will prove invaluable in helping the young guns develop. Made the trade with 6th overall pick value so they could have drafted Mario Williams to improve their pass rush as well, since the 49er's actually own the 6th pick (officially announced today in a coin flip @ the combine).

Darryl Tapp, DE, VA Tech Have him rated as the 3rd best pure pass rusher coming into the combine we'll see what happens there. He addresses their need to improve pressure on the QB & solidify the DL along with Trevor Pryce this should greatly improve the defense along with Huff that was one game away from the Superbowl. B

My draft is complete, what do you think:
Arizona Cardinals-
1.10- Deangelo Williams, RB Memphis
2.42- Kai Parham, ILB Virginia
3.74- Greg Eslinger, C Minnesota

I got the running game going with Williams and Eslinger, and improved the defense by adding Parham.

something tells me the Cardinal pick is gonna to surprise some people, your right most people right now think they go RB with their 1st pick and DeAngelo is a good one. I just think the 10 spot has a history of a late riser (look at the Texans in 2004, Dunta Robinson) so this is a very difficult pick to call. Vernon Davis is the type of physical specimen that could shoot up the draft board, it would also be difficult to pass on AJ Hawk if still available @ #10.

there 2nd rd pick has to be a tackle or dominant guard. 3rd rd look inside for linebacker help. C+

I've been reading that also. My opinion on that is, it's just a posturing move to get Pennington's agent to give more concessions in the negotiations. When Pennington is healthy, the Jet's offense clicks. It's up to the coaches & management to strengthen the O'line. In the end, I expect Pennington to resign with the Jets in the $4-5 million a year range, with incentives.

I will say this though, I was planning on taking Omar Jacobs with my second 2nd round pick, but the Raiders beat me to him. After that, I didn't feel that any of the remaining QB's were worth that pick. I would like to take this draft to a 4th round & see if I could pick up another player of need.

By the way, you can't be grading your own draft.:D

The Ravens' draft:

#13 - Winston Justice, OT, USC
#45 - Darnell Bing, S, USC
#77 - DonTrell Moore, RB, New Mexico

It was pretty hard for me to grasp the Ravens' needs, but I picked up that offensive line, running back, and defensive secondary were the major ones (I didn't actually pick Bing, but I probably would have).

I think both of those guys were reaches.

You could have tradeded down into the second for Jackson, and taken Luitui in the 3rd if you really wanted to have him drafted in this 3 rounder.

Yes I did.

I found Oakland feels ok about the backup QB they have now, but that he is nothing special and most see him as a career back up. Jacobs is the second best QB in this draft IMHO. He also just seems to fit in Oakland with his hair

strong USC haul indeed. Justice is not a bad pick at all @ #13 he should settle right in as the RT for the next decade I could buy that pick unless Marcus McNeil grades out higher. Bing is a solid SS prospect, with Ed Reed in fold he should transistion nicely to the NFL. Dontrell Moore seems like a solid enough kid but maybe more of a 4th rd prospect. why not stretch the field and improve the offensive line with a TE who can do both? Joel Klopfenstein or TJ Williams. C+

At #13, you could have picked Lendale White to replace Jamal Lewis...Maybe ,Davin Joseph for OL....Ravens really need a stud RB since their passing game is so inconsistent (Boller).

Williams, looking good in combine. Grade: B

As far as this mock is concerned and if this trade happened, I will give Jets' draft a grade of B+ . Jackson will start over Martin; If Cutler was there at #11, I would pick him. Not sure Pennington will be his original self again, probably be an injury concern. Hawk is an impact player but I'll be surprised if he drops below #7 in real draft.

The Ravens have Todd Heap...

A lot of guys think Chester Talylor could start with some support behind him if he's resigned. Their biggest problem was a RT, and I think LenDale is overrated anyway.

Dolphins draft is all done and seeing nobody was around to make the picks...I did...With the 2 traded players they end up with:

Philip Rivers, QB
John Abraham, DE
DeMario Minter, CB, Georgia
Bernard Pollard, SS, Purdue
AJ Nicholson, OLB, FSU

What does everyone think of that?

They definitely upgraded their defense, but will they be able to resign Abraham to the huge long term contract that he's going to want after this year? Also, note that they gave up a promising young DE in Matt Roth as well.

Overall though, they'll definitely be a contender for next year.

Minny's picks...

1 - Lendale White - RB USC
2 - Anthony Fasano - TE ND
3 - Kelly Jennings - CB MIA

Eventhough they didn't hit needs at S and LB, getting White at 17 and Fasano gives them upgrades at two key positions for new coach's philosophy. Jennings is also an underated corner and should help as a nickel back this year. Thoughts?

Titans turned 2 picks into 3 and picked up:

1-Vince Young QB
2-Jason Allen S
3-Jesse Mahelona DT

The titans need a MLB but the ones that were left when I picked would have been a reach at the top 2 picks of the 3rd round. Maybe Ray Lewis or another free agent can fill the bill.
