Mock Draft among boardmembers?

I have now selected Ko Simpson for the Bengals, they need help at S and he is the next highest rated from what I have seen....The NY Giants are now on the clock...and hopefully show up to make their pick.

Heh, well, I'm still here for the Seahawks at 31 - only 6 days 'til my pick comes up!

I might suggest we narrow the clock time a bit for rounds after the first. I can understand the reasoning for 24 hours, since everyone has different schedules. That being said, I'll bet we're losing people due to how long this is dragging out and it'll get worse as we get lower.

Yeah I agree, but I have also stated that if ppl have a busy schedule that they can PM me a list of players that theyd want in order so that when their pick comes up I will select for them...only 2 ppl have...once the 2nd round rolls around I think we shold lower it to 12 hours MAX

No..seems like enough guys are willing to keep it going..would be a shame to not even get out of the 1st round....

As soon as Buffsoldier makes his pick the end of the 1st round should pass fairly quickly, I have been PM'd the pick after than and then the next few picks seem to be ppl that frequent this thread so should pass by quickly...and then the Texans will be on the clock again and ready for some more punishment from fans:brickwall

:redtowel: Dunta your doing a fine job . I thing the Rose Bowl crowd signed up and then lost intrest as time went by .

i agree...i think you've done a solid job running this thing, and its unfortunate some people are bailing

another nice tip might be to create a new thread, with the draft order and the owners, and the players selected, then ask the owners to reply in order for them to keep their team, it also help's this get more organized, if u need any help let me know

im willing to take over another team as well....just say the word bro

There has been a trade between the Titans and the Texans.

Titans get:
65th Overall
66th Overall
Texans 5th Rounder(Irrelevant in this case)

Texans get:
35th overall

Personally,Dunta, I hope the texans don't trade their picks to move up, They don't have a good history of making good picks in 2nd and third rounds. Since this is a mock; who are you pinpointing for #33 and #35. If you don't mind.

New York Giants pick has been made...I checked their msg board and most were asking for an LB or a CB...seemed as tho most wanted help in the secondary thats why I selected Cromartie...anyone opposed to that selection...other choices were Ernie Sims, DeMeco Ryans, Jonathan Joseph, D'Qwell Jackson

The Seattle Seahawks currently hold pick #31. Pick #30 is on-the-clock. Seattle is open to trade offers from other teams. PM me with any proposals.

Moving along now I wonder if we can weed out those who somehow forgot they signed up for this. Plenty of folks are willing to take another team so I'll volunteer also. My only idea is give away the team of somebody who never showed up or didn't comment on your (dunta23) pick for them.

I will continue to entertain trades for approximately the next 4 hours (until about 3:00 central). If I do not have any interesting trade offers, in the interest of moving things along, I am prepared to make the pick at that time.

Tough call.

I would have said WR Chad Jackson for sure, but Pitt just stole him - and I'm not a fan of Moss.

TE Byrd wouldn't be a bad "need" option, he finished the year off right while Marcedes Lewis (who already went) didn't.

BPA is Brodrick Bunkley at DT. Problem is that the Texans have an abundance of DTs now with the 4-3 move - though only TJ is probably going to be with the team two years from now. IMO, the next BPAs after Bunkley are S Bing, MLB Hodge, OLB Sims and G Jean-Giles. I wouldn't object to any of these guys.

Ive got about 5 guys on the radar right now

Ernie Sims
Abdul Hodge
Thomas Howard
Nick Mangold
Brodrick Bunkley

and then ive got a 2nd group of players that I want but they may be reaches at this point...

Sorry I could not help myself. The guy fell so far, and with Randel EL possiably being lost to FA it was a good pick. I feel the same way about Moss, and I felt that the Steelers were not a team to pick a premadona.

*Edit* I really like Abdul Hodge, and Nick Mangold. You could grab them both, and help shore up some of the Texan's problems.

Just curious are you picking for the 3-4 or 4-3? :)

I definitely wavered b/t Lewis and Jackson. I still think Carolina would be more likely to take Lewis though. Drew Carter was showing flashes there at the end and Colbert will be entering his third year when a lot of WR's finally start playing well. I still think Jackson would be a tremendous upgrade over either of them and will star in the league. I'm sure they will be happy Kurt Mangum isn't their go-to TE anymore.

Texans are back on the clock....Pick # 33 and # 35 are available...also suggestions are welcome:brickwall

How do the Texans have the 33rd and 35th picks in this mock? I don't remember them trading with the Titans.

For the 2nd and 3rd rounds... too keep this draft interesting to most ppl involved....we will cut the amount of time to 12 hrs...So it is important that if you dont think you can make a pick to PM me and I will select the players u want when ur time comes up. Thank you....I gave Napa Auto Parts till 6 pm tomorrow because its starting at a wierd hour

Like them. Hodge, I think, will be a really good ML. Streagth up the middle, and you got them on both sides of the ball.

So what does everyone think of the picks Ive made so far?

D'Brick
Nick Mangold
Abdul Hodge

I like 'em. I especially, like the D'Brick pick. I just have a good feeling about him.

Dunta, good picks. I think 49ers and Texans have done well so far. Do you know of a site that has player profiles of draft prospects?

I was going to pick Dumervil.... Give me a little more time, I have to go out to eat. I will make my selection when I return. Thanks.

so how does everyone think the draft is shaping up so far??

I'd say it's going about the way I could see it going. Although, I do feel that Ko Simpson, Cromartie, & D'Qwell Jackson went a little early.
