London Game

I envy those of you who were able to go. But DANG that had to be the slipperiest feild I've EVER seen anyone play on. I've never seen anyone slide seven yards after a tackle with a mild hit like in today's game. Did it ever STOP raining?

good game. happy for Ted Ginn to get his first TD. Jesse Chatman looks to be just fine in that starting role. Miami still can't stop the run, though.

what were you watching?? that was ugly as hell.. cleo was terrible apart from 2-3 nice throws and ginn's tg pass.. chatman and jacobs (and both o-lines played pretty well though)

ugly, but good. Miami's pass defense was really good. several deep passes that they broke up, which i haven't seen them do in a looong time.

Quite possibly the best sporting day out I've ever had (despite the slightly less than perfect conditions). I can't imagine any of the fans who were in the stadium would've been going home dissapointed (ok, it was a poor game to watch, but in fairness I'd rather a game going down to the last couple of possessions than a total blowout, as we'd have seen if it'd been dry). Wembley Stadium is absolutely stunning (the old ground was amazing, but I was literally breathless with my first time inside the new ground).

On the issue of Miami giving up a home game and the match atmosphere. I think that seeing the support Miami were getting (a hell of a lot of Fins were there, and it seemed most neutrals were siding with them), whilst it obviously wasn't anything like a normal home atmosphere, I think the fans were loud, involved and genuinely having a great time.

As for someone saying about ticket pricing, sure it was always gonig to be pricey, but it wasn't extortionate. I was at at the front of the top tier, at one of the ends, and got a fantastic view for £45, which I would happily pay again if we ever got another match.

And on a Texan's hunting note, (besides meself), I saw one Texans shirt, and one Texans cap being worn all day...perhaps moving a game away from the Relliant next year to drum up a fanbase over here ;) No? Ok then...

Overall, fantastic. Thanks NFL, Dolphins, Giants and the cheerleaders :)

YO Sideline.... we are waiting for you to post some pictures from the game. I want to see you sporting your Texans gear amidst all the other fans...

90,000+ Great job Limeys!!!

Wonder if the travel will cause both teams to come out flat in their next game. It was cool to hear "God Save The Queen" though.:tv:

JMO, but it was one of the most boring games i've ever seen.

no it wasnt just you.. the game was comically badly played (suitable nfl europe standard i guess:) )

lemon throwing fresh air and manning overthrowing a wide open toomer in the EZ, and the penalties were the worst examples

and Toomer dropping a sure TD catch. The weather and the sloppy field didn't help matters.

the Jaguars will be losing a home game next year and playing in London. no idea who they'll be playing, but obviously the Texans are a possibility.

yeah that's certainly possible. if that's the case, then the Jags would be playing either the Packers or Vikings in London. if Favre retires, they go with Minnesota easily.

the nfl'd be stupid if they didn't send favre. mnf taught me that Brett Favre is pretty much in the all-time section of the gridiron football pantheon. if the lawyers in charge of marketing don't build a giant robot favre i'll be disappointed.
