Houston Texans vs. Denver Broncos (Game Thread)

back (if you were worried) - woulda repped ya goldensilence on the radio feeds, came back to 610 not streaming, but I gotta spread it.

scanned through the thread - apparently didn't miss much... but welcome to game 1 of preseason.
 
A rather unimpressive first half IMO.

The running game is non-existent and the defense hasn't held on third down.

Brown has performed well, which is a very good sign.
 
I was really annoyed at how the announcers thought it was a fake punt call. It was even't close to that. It was clear that there was too much pressure and would have gotten the punt blocked. They didn't even mention that.
 
Seemed like an eh effort overall for the first half. I pleasantly surprised by Mr. Brown. He seemed to look fine out there. Taylor seemed to misread a few holes though. I want to see how Slaton looks though.
 
Well we have seen a half and my opinion is
offense = c No running game so far
defense = F linebackers are not showing up , the backs and tightends are eating us up .

did you see taylor watch that db run past him and cream sage , taylor is just plain poor so far .
 
Has Chris Brown seen any carries? I find it odd that he is no where to be seen, wasn't he the original 2nd string RB?
 
Offense:
WRs are not getting any separation. All the catches have been because of well placed balls and good body position. None are made in space and we have had almost 0 yards after catch

RB is not doing anything. He has had little to work with, but on the few occassions there have been holes, they've been missed

OL is doing great in pass coverage but is the worst run blocking I've seen yet from them. They look like high school kids

Defense

DL is getting minimal pressure. They are doing a good job of stuffing inside runs, but are not containing anything screened/blitzed/or outside

LBs are completely out of the game. Diles had a couple of good hits, but Ryans and Greenwood look pretty poor. They are horrible in coverage

DBs have had two picks but both have been by poor balls thrown by Ramsey. They are playing the run poorly

All in all I give us a C- for the 1st half. Special teams is the only redeeming feature
 
I'm not concerned in the least about the passing game, but we have got to be able to consistently run the football to have any chance against the Colts.
