1. That sack was 100% NOT Taylors fault. I am not a Taylor homer, I don't care if he makes the team, I still hope he plays well this season. But blaming that sack on him is pointless. His blitz pickup priorities are up front first, the only way he's going to know about a blitz coming in from the outside is if the QB reads it and lets him know.
On that play, I saw one of the CBs creep up closer to the line but he was picked up by brown quite nicely, I didn't even see the other one and was shocked when I saw the guy tear through the screen into Sage. From where Taylor was positioned (about a yard in front and half a yard to the side of Sage) there was no way he could have picked up that blitz without some ESP(n) telling him its coming.
2. You have great depth when we're all amazed by our 5th string WR
Taylor admitted that this was his responsibility after the game, but Rosenfels softened the blow by suggesting that it was a difficult pick up because of its nature, and that he was thankful it was a CB and not a linebacker. The link is in this:
