Houston Texans V Oakland Raiders Gameday thread RIP AD

I think Shaub needs to practice with a Rebel blast helmet so he can't see the target - use the force and such.

There's your prevent O!!!!

Smart playcalling really.

We are in the lead, the Raiders just had a big drive, got some momentum, we don't want to give them a chance with the football to get ahead going into half time.

Sometimes the smart call is the conservative call.

Laughable. Big Ben would've ripped the guys arm off and Schaub goes fetal.

Goes to show how much a difference Mario makes on the field... absolutely no pass rush since he's been out. Brooks Reed is proving that he's simply not ready yet. I hope he proves me wrong in the next half.

what the d-line looks bad without their decoy :pirate: isnt that what a lot of people have been saying, he is just a decoy. yeah easy to say when he's in and getting pressure on the QB different story when he's not out there.

I think everybody has pretty much come around on MW playing WOLB.

Hopefully we can get our running game going this half. We need to be able to run the ball with Andre Johnson out.

At least Allen made an adjustment on that out route. I just hope that adjustment doesn't burn us on a double move.

There were 5 seconds left no timeouts on theirs own 30. The out route is the route you would look for. He better know its coming.

So you think he chose to go down when Seymour had one hand on his jersey because he didn't want to get hurt? That explanation still leaves me thinking he is weak.

From the TV angle they gave us it looked like Schaud felt a tug on his jersey and opted for the fetal position. He was definitely trying to protect himself, but it looked weak. It seemed like he could have torn away and fired the ball down field.

We can't get any 2nd or 3rd and short yardage plays. All of our 3rd down's have been long and the Raiders just blitz in that scenario.

That was not pass interference on JJ? Guess in addition to the arm around the waist, he needs to use the other arm and also ride piggy back to get the penalty.

That should have been a very easy tackle to break.

Now why didn't we gay the illegal contact call on that last play?

I think the point thats been made is that as well as being a beast in his own right he's also a decoy for the rest of them to get success from.

I've said it time and again, Smith wouldn't look as good without #90 taking a lot of the O-lines planning away from him.
