Looks to me that he's basically told his defense and special teams that it's up to them to preserve the win, because he's not going to do much daring offensively with Yates in there. And Foster has a bullseye on his chest to the Jax defense now.
 
Mister Alexander looked badly hurt on that play, what happens when your next man up goes down? Gotta hope your starter can stay healthy. :gun:
 
Hell, I'd run it EVERY SINGLE play from now on. Just kill the clock and let the D win.

Poor Yates probably didn't get a single rep this week.
 
Jags can't score on us there is no reason to get risky on offense with a 3rd string QB and risk turning the ball over. The only reason the game in Houston was close is because we turned it over deep in our own territory twice.
 
playing field position now. hopefully defense gets a stop and get some nice field position again

Yes, Dexman, all of you Schaub critics will find he may have been a wee bit better than you thought. Sure, every GM wouldwant to trade Schaub for TJ Yates (are you serious??). We will ride our defense and ground game to the playoffs but it doesn't make your incorrect evaluations of Schaub any more correct.
 
I think you have to seriously consider trading up into the top part of the first round and get a better caliber QB than TJ Yates.

Sorry, but this is not going to get it done.

The only caveat is that TJ Yates has been sitting 3rd man down the whole year, and was thrust into this game...but still, there is some uninspired play CALLING and some uninspired PLAYING by our offense out there.

I disagree... he's calling a good game IMO.

When you have your 3rd string QB in there, your defense is shutting down the other offense, you have a 10 point lead, and you have one of the best running games in the league... you run the ball! Don't force your 3rd string QB to make plays.
