I've been pleased with Brian Hoyer's performance today. Down 42-0, he came in and gave our offense some life.

About to lead a third TD drive maybe.
Brian Hoyer should start on Thursday Night.

Unless you can convince me that Ryan Mallett is going to throw deep and take advantage of his strong arm.

Third TD led by Brian Hoyer today. Nice. He re-won the starting job. See you starting on Thursday Night against Indy. A must-win game.

Coming back to this (finally got to a keyboard. hate posting with my phone) this perfectly encapsulates what's wrong with you people and why I've never felt any real solidarity with my fellow Texans fans. There's always a few of them like you in the bunch no matter where you go. You're all wrapped up in who's eating crow and who can dish it out or take it. I don't give a **** about that and neither do most of these other people. I want to see the Texans win and if that's not happening then I want to see them focusing on getting better.

Most fans look at the team and see problems mixed with bright spots. JJ Watt is a huge bright spot. QB (whether it's Ryan Mallett or Brian Hoyer) is a big problem. People see possible solutions and hope they pan out. I'm sure you look at the team too but then you look at the rest of the fans and see what they're hanging their hopes on and you start shitting on those and telling everybody how stupid they are for Hoping that Mallett works out or that Hoyer turns some corner. Fans like you make being a fan of the same team a miserable experience and this board is ******* eat up with you bastard coated bastards (I'm sure this post will get deleted and probably should. I don't care). When we were on the official board you negative **** lords were kept in check but ever since that board moved to Texans Talk it's been getting worse and worse every season. The sheer number of self-appointed experts ready to step in and tell you that you're an idiot for hoping a player works out and helps the team is staggering at this point. The number of mindless fucks who step in to every thread with a "Rick Smith must be fired....Rick Smith must be fired....Rick Smith must be fired...." mantra even if the thread doesn't even involve the GM is crazy.

Fans ready to turn on other fans so they can dance around and tell everyone how right they were. That's the prototypical Houston fan right there. A bunch of douche nozzle **** lords with #99 jerseys that nobody likes but that nobody cares enough about to hate all that much either.

Great post.

Feels like the same thing was said when Mallett came in after Hoyer's 1st game blowup

Hoyer looking like tom Brady compared to mallet

Lets keep it realistic... he is playing the second team, in prevent. Let's see them do it against another teams starters. Good for him to come out and show he deserves a chance, but I would at least expect us to be as good as Atl subs.

Maybe the answer is to rotate the quarterbacks every quarter? Or play one per half. LOL. Keep the defense on their toes. Dan Reeves, as head coach of the Broncos, once alternated quarterbacks every play against the Dallas Cowboys. John Elway was out with an injury and he used two guys the entire game.

But to be fair Brian Hoyer just had one bad game and was benched. He should get five or six starts at least. And if he sucks then let Mallett play the other ten or so games. I would start Brian Hoyer on Thursday Night against the Colts. I really would. Let's see if we can get on a roll. Our next four games are winnable. Against teams with as much holes as we have.

KC all over again
I'm done with both qbs

Hoyer and Mallet are BOTH TRASH.

they're BOTH nothing more than backup qb's and NOTHING more.

stop falling for the same ole okie-doke.

starter plays like trash then the backup comes in garbage time and people say he's the answer then he looks like trash as a starter and people prop up another backup.

same **** different toilet.

this team is garbage and nothing is going to save them. just go ahead and get ready for next year.

Don't lose focus on the 2015 season, Our division is garbage. We're going to be one game back of first place after today. If we go 6-0, or even 5-1 in our division, I think that's enough to take it with 8 or 9 wins.

DIVISION?!?!?! DON'T TALK ABOUT DIVISION. I JUST HOPE WE CAN WIN A GAME!

Neither one of them is the answer but they each looked good in garbage time against defenses just trying to make them eat up time. We need a QB in the draft but we should roll for a while with Hoyer now. He did get one game and then the hook. Mallett has sucked for basically three straight weeks and he's consistently sucked at all the same things. Accuracy and tunnel vision are a huge problem with him. It's over.

So worst beating in Texans history? Perfect. Wish they'd go for 2

We also lost Cecil Shorts on that dumb last play. Looks like a shoulder injury. No Nate Washington either. See you on Thursday Night, Jaelen Strong!
