Houston Texans @ Atlanta Falcons. 10/4. Noon. CBS. **Official Dirty South Gameday Thread**

There in lies the rub doesn't it. This franchise refuses to address the most important position on the field.

No, the rub is people b*thch*ng about other people wanting to see Mallett play. As though that stops the Hoyer Super Bowl parade.

I agree with needing to address the position though. I think we all do.

No we don't. He's terrible and will never be a winning starting NFL QB.
Why don't you and uncle Rio rent a hotel room and circle jerk the tv while you wach replays of the Texans losing? That's what gets you two fake ass Texan fans off.

I love watching you gloat at our losing. It proves you were never a real fan of this team. People now have definitive proof you are a troll and now you'll be ignored here by all. Nice knowing you loser have fun somewhere else trolling.

Woohoo!! No shutout this week and TE caught a TD!! Positives, people. Gotta find the positives. A couple more drives like that and a couple of turnovers, we're right back in it!! LOL :ahhaha:

Hopefully Hoyer can sustain it. Mallett looked good in relief too. Can he keep it going for the rest of the season. That'd be nice.

Is there anyway we can all send emails to the team PR or the owner or GM, any hackers out there who can get that stuff?

I think what you & mridge1 really mean to say (not to put words in your mouth) is that the Texans need to fix it.

They've addressed the problem. Again & again. Since Schaub's got hurt, we've started Keenum, Fitzpatrick, Hoyer, & Mallett to take the job. Maybe they aren't addressing it the way you want, but it's being addressed.

That said, I have yet to watch this game. It's going to be rough when I get home, but I'm going to try to watch it. 42-0 sounds like the QB position is only part of the problem. The bigger part is all this talk we're hearing out of Bill O'Brien & his fans, ain't making it to the field.

I thought it was humorous that he was talking about sticking to the run game last week to win a game... like he invented it or something.

These coaches need to start coaching.

It addresses it. Its just that we address the most important position on the field with hiring a QB GURU instead of signing/developing a good QB.

Someone needs to tell the returners that east-west yards don't count in the box score. I actually miss Jacoby Jones.

That's completely fair. OB had his honeymoon. We're back home staring at bills now. It needs to be fixed.

"These are two guys that are good quarterbacks that have played in this league, they work very hard. They’re out here busting their ass every day to get better and I think the city of Houston should be proud of both of them." - O'Brien / Aug 2015

http://espn.go.com/blog/houston-tex...angry-at-characterization-of-his-quarterbacks

Yep. O'Brien has been fine with this. Last seasosn it was Fitzpatrick and this season it's these two. The guy is content with at best average QBs.

Taking out your frustration on me is misguided. It doesn't change the FACT that the Texans suck. That's not my fault, it is what it is.

I just don't understand the route tree for this offense. Do the Texans need to draft Ivy League WR's to understand it?

This game has been a train wreck on the injury front, also.
As you may remember, I was very worried specifically about the implications of a "hip" injury following a history of bilateral sport hernia repairs.......either recurrent sports hernia vs. femoral acetabular impingement (AI).

I follow this team since 2008. This is the worst game I've ever seen by our team. I think you guys have watched worst games than this by the Texans. We need a new GM, new ideas, decent draft picks! Hoyer and Mallett? This is a joke! We have amazing fans and some amazing players, we need respect! Sorry for My english

What about those poor guys you speak of being utterly unbearable and ridiculously 'douchelike' themselves? If you can dish it you should be able to take it too right? I've eaten crow on this site and said as much. Some folks on here are never wrong, thats the problem.

Coming back to this (finally got to a keyboard. hate posting with my phone) this perfectly encapsulates what's wrong with you people and why I've never felt any real solidarity with my fellow Texans fans. There's always a few of them like you in the bunch no matter where you go. You're all wrapped up in who's eating crow and who can dish it out or take it. I don't give a **** about that and neither do most of these other people. I want to see the Texans win and if that's not happening then I want to see them focusing on getting better.

Most fans look at the team and see problems mixed with bright spots. JJ Watt is a huge bright spot. QB (whether it's Ryan Mallett or Brian Hoyer) is a big problem. People see possible solutions and hope they pan out. I'm sure you look at the team too but then you look at the rest of the fans and see what they're hanging their hopes on and you start shitting on those and telling everybody how stupid they are for Hoping that Mallett works out or that Hoyer turns some corner. Fans like you make being a fan of the same team a miserable experience and this board is ******* eat up with you bastard coated bastards (I'm sure this post will get deleted and probably should. I don't care). When we were on the official board you negative **** lords were kept in check but ever since that board moved to Texans Talk it's been getting worse and worse every season. The sheer number of self-appointed experts ready to step in and tell you that you're an idiot for hoping a player works out and helps the team is staggering at this point. The number of mindless fucks who step in to every thread with a "Rick Smith must be fired....Rick Smith must be fired....Rick Smith must be fired...." mantra even if the thread doesn't even involve the GM is crazy.

Fans ready to turn on other fans so they can dance around and tell everyone how right they were. That's the prototypical Houston fan right there. A bunch of douche nozzle **** lords with #99 jerseys that nobody likes but that nobody cares enough about to hate all that much either.

And by that, people, just like myself, believe that in order to start coaching correctly you shouldn't try to trot out the litney of shitass QBs you just rattled off.

They've had two drafts to correct this. They had a shot at better FAs than what we have, e.g. Nick Foles, but instead we're in this horrid position.

I've been watching since the start. Other than the Capers years...I'll say I don't remember a Kubiak game being this bad. Even the 2 win year he had the excuse of Matt Schaub going completely insane. Not many could have predicted that.

Right now difference between the two is that when Kubiak came here he understood the importance of a QB at least and it was one of the first things addressed. BOB has pretty much ignored this position. It would be fine if this was a 3-10 game but the defense is getting shredded. There is no run game. Special teams sucks. This team has not one single strength.

Can we still blame him or do something drastic like cut him AGAIN?

QB position needs to be fixed. I said that in the stuff you cut out of that post.

I added, 42-0 (at the time) points to more than the QB.

I'm simply at a loss for words how bad this game ended up I honestly didn't think we would win but going down by 42 - 0 I would haven' t have guessed.

This.

There have been terrible teams in all sports throughout history and some fans who stick with them, and the fans that wonder off and come back when there is finally success. More power to you and I wish you well, but I'll be here hoping the Texans get better, reading post about how they accomplish that (I'm not a huge poster but I have been around awhile). And when they eventually have success then it will be all the sweeter, and if they don't have success in my lifetime? Then hopefully the daughter I raised to be a Texans fan gets to see that success and it will be all the more meaningful for her because it was for her dad. Not meaning to get sappy here and what not but being a fan of a team is knowing that sometimes your team sucks, earning the right to complain about them every week, but you show up and support your team even when it is hard to watch.
