Gameday Thread: Chiefs @ Texans

Nope, we were in the race. We needed a win and 2 teams to lose. We got the W and 1 team lost. We were in it until the end.

If you want to get into post season, keep the option in YOUR court by
not losing to Jacksonville twice. The same team you needed to lose
whipped your ass, in YOUR house, on opening day.

That was an idiotic throw. Leach was open on the other side of the first down line and Schaub went to the guy in double coverage. I don't care if it's AJ, it's still double coverage.

why does kubiak keep throwing on first downs....does he just want to irritate us....or is the guy really that stubbborn

Agreed, but to represent we were not in the race is disingenuous.

schaub has regressed i dont care what anyone says....real talk........

last season we had a potent offense.......this year we get a compliment of a nfl leading rushing and schaub goes south......sheesh

AJ is definitely not being able to make cuts or cut backs especially to the left (which creates inversion stress to his bad ankle) because of his ankle. Everything except straight ahead has be entirely blunted.

To omit the fact of the Texans losing control of their playoff destiny on
a Chris Brown interception, and 1500 straight rushes by MJD to close the game,
is disingenuous. I said the Texans were "technically" in the race on the final
week of the season, and that's the most accurate word to describe the situation.

2 drives by the texans.....zero points.......anybody who says we got a potent offense agin needs his head examined.....we are not explosive anymore at all

Flowers knows that AJ can't run past him.

The discussion was whether we were in the race or not. In the context of THAT DISCUSSION, the fact that we **** the bed and should have been in the playoffs comfortably anyway is irrelevant. We were IN the race as the last game of the season kicked off.

Well our D has given our O the ball again. The O needs to show some intensity for a change and get this team pumped up.

defense finally playing....now if schaub and kubiak wit this idiotic playcallin can get there head out of there ass......we might have us a game

hey kubes....im no genius....but we do have the leading rusher....so running on first downs....and third and shorts are a pretty good idea

I didn't say we weren't in the race. I actually said we were "technically" (mathematically)
IN the race. It's the most accurate way to describe it, IN THE CONTEXT
of the discussion.

No. When you use technically it implies they were only a mathematical alive and did not have a real chance to get in. Technically would be accurate if they needed to win 5 straight games and every team ahead of them had to lose 5 straight games. You are twisting vocabulary to suit whatever purpose you have.

Thank you. And we all know what that purpose is, to discredit the team and the coaching staff.

Anyway, let's focus on the game.

You're not eliminated from post season contention, UNTIL you are
(mathematically) eliminated. I still used very accurate phrasing
to describe the situation.

So are you. The fact is that there was nothing the Texans could do on their own to make the playoffs, once they dropped that game in JAX. They made a late, and once again irrelevant late season run.
