Game Day: Texans at Jaguars

We had a pretty good 1st half, but didn't play offensively well at the end. Will we go into a shell in the 2nd half when JAX make adjustments? Will we make any adjustments? Will our defense continue to play strong? I guess we will know in a little while?

Well, we have went 9 straight Quarters without allowing a TD from the opposing team. Hopefully they can keep it up.

Isn't it odd that all of a sudden Leftwich doesn't look so hot now that some pressure is put on him? :hmmm:

I just hope they can keep this up and not get overly confident because you know the Jags will be pumped up after half....Lets hope the Texans are equally pumped..

I was hoping Carr would have a career day, but those 2 INT's look nasty on that stat sheet.

Who gives a **** about the stat sheet? The first INT Bradford should have caught it, and the 2nd, the DB made a great play.

Quit looking for negatives.

Great half by Dom, Offensive line, and a nice half by the defense. We need to come out and get a 3-score lead right off the bat. Let's put the foot on the neck for a change.

I agree and I'm not looking for negatives like some do on this board. Don't get me mixed up with them. Texans are playing great and i Hope they can keep it up. What's wrong with me hoping Carr has a big day?

If you look at the entire thread, he is probably being the least negative of the multiple posters in this thread. fwiw

*also, this is a game thread. Expect it to be a bit reactionary.

Carr has looked pretty good too other than the intentional grounding and the last minute or so of the half, but then those were almost "bonus points" considering all we mostly wanted to do was keep Jax from scoring.

LoL, i thought about that when i wrote hit. Lets hope i didn't jinx us.

You have to knock on 3 different types of wood, spit in the trashcan, and sing god bless america to remove the curse. :fib

If we can do this on the road, we will have taken a big step forward.

Nothing it all. It's just that it seems like that the Carr critics will have their day ruined if they can't blame Carr for something. I want to see some of them say that Leftwich is stinking it up out there.

Well, I guess we all see the value in a simple catch and protect when we are in the punt return teams.

One thing coaches point ou to the players is that the guys on the other team are getting paid too, and they are going to make some plays.

Landing on the 4 yard line or so is about the best thing that's happened so far on a punt. I'd rather take that than watch it bounce around after hitting one of our guys.

Imagine how we'd be playing if we had JJ Moses returning punts and kicks. Special teams is the only phase of the game where we're performing poorly today.

Boy this year has certainly been a tale of two teams. Before the game you wondered which Texans team would come out of the tunnel. Looks like we brought our A-team. Up 14 to zip at the half. Kudos so far. 7-9 would look very nice.

Its on special teams, we saw last week what field position could do to us in the 3rd Quarter. Luckily we kept chicago out of the endzone hopefully we can do it again.

Jaquars play well in the 2nd half, especialy the 4th quarter so we need to stay focused.
