Game 7 Thread: Texans @ Titans

Well, I wonder what Kubiak is going to say to them at the half now?

This just sucks!
 
Look, we all know that Carr is not a road QB. With him, we hope for the best...and that hope has failed us so far.

Today, we've simply gotten the David Carr that we know - he is what he is.
 
In the second half we need to see some more crossing routes with AJ and Moulds. Haven't thrown one all day. Need to pass protect better for sure.

Defensively, we have been decent. Need to get to let Mario go and quit sitting him on spy and on the bench. He had two series and after the one awesome sack he had where he jumped in the way of the flair pass, he was sitting for the next series! Huh? He shouldn't leave the field but to get an occassional breather.

BS call on Shepard on the one pass interference.

Still a very winable game. The Titans are horrible. But we need to play fairly mistake free in the second half to stand a shot.

Put Jamel on the sidelines for the second half.
 
people think that because were getting manageable 3rd downs is good, well it is, but were getting too many 3rd downs. if wiegert would start blocking, carr could prolly throw down the field. its been nothing but lundy and owens in the passing game. u have moulds and AJ who can run down the field, and their gifts and tools arent being utilized properly.

This game is going to test our team. 14-3, is a hole we should be able to dig ourselves out of. This is one of those things we've got to do..... consider it part of training. Forget about what happened in the first half, & let's move forward.

Same thing for us fans, tomorrow we can cry and complain, and call the players out. Right now, we need to be tough, forget the first half, and support our Texans......

This VY love is pathetic. If Carr was having the game VY is having, this board would be all over him wanting him outta here. VY has been borderline bad today. His one run for a TD notwithstanding.

Nobody has looked great. We have 2 bad teams playing each other. So far the Texans have made the most mistakes. Not much else to say.
 
the only mistakes ive seen so far were sheppard with a bad fair catch, carr with a poor throw into coverage, and kubiak sitting on the ball instead of trying to score.
 
its amazing to me that people are comparing a rookie in vince to a 5 yr veteran in carr. is shows you how bad carr still is. look vince has lead his team to a touchdown and has some balls dropped carr as usual has turned the ball over twice which is the difference in the game. vince wasnt great but solid especially for a young rookie.

BUT Vince is a rookie and Carr is a 5 year vet, who makes these same mistakes year after year.
 
No excuse for losing the ball on that sack. Carr is showing some of his old ways today. He just doesnt have very good pocket presence. You would think with all the pressure he has seen his career he'd handle it better. Even though he hasnt much time, throwing the ball away is better than a INT and Fumble. And my god when will he step UP between the rushing ends instead of back or sideways!! Lets hope the Texans can step up and play mistake free and hope for some breaks. Salaam is killin us too.
 
I would so be benching three people for the second half - Weigert, Carr, and Shepard. I would yank all three of them to the side, and tell them to just stay in the locker room. They don't deserve to stand on the sideline with thier teammates. They are an embarassment to Houston, to Texas, and to anyone who enjoys watching quality football. Carr is being embarrasased. I take back every nice thing I ever said about this loser. We will never go anywhere with this loser as QB.

we also can be thankful that were not losing 41-0 at the half like the 49ers are to chicago.
 
No excuse for throwing the football there. Take a knee and go in down 7-3. You weren't running a hurry up offense. We huddled and walked to the line five times. Garbage.

It's not dropped balls when you can't get it within 5 yards of the reciever.

Carr is playing bad, yes. But VY can't throw for ****.
 
I don't like seeing the Carr of old but I'm not giving up on him yet. He has the half to gather his composure, get a butt chewin buy Kubiak, and come out better in the second half.

David Carr will NEVER be a Super Bowl quarterback. He just doesn't have it. Everybody raved about last week, frankly the TD pass to AJ was a crappy pass into double coverage and AJ was able to make a play. Well Carr tried again today into quadruple coverage and it didn't work. He sucks. And he got bailed out by a defensive holding call on Hope after he spun into a sack that would have taken us out of FG range.

I think it is pretty clear that Salaam is our LT for the duration or until he gets hurt for good. We better get used to it.
