Game 5 Thread: Texans @ Cowboys

I'm expecting Bledsoe to start his NFL network commercial "Hey, you can continue watching this, or you can see a more competitive game on fox (locally) and see the Saints and Eagles tied up at 24. I think I'll run here... no I'll think I'll pass..."

Some stats folks got together and ran the numbers and noted that mathematically speaking, a team should ALWAYS go for it on 4th and 2 outside their own 30 yard line.

Psychologically speaking, converting a 4th hurts the defense every bit as much as turnover on downs hurts the offense.

Now I'm not necessarily agreeing with the math guys, but NFL coaches are way too conservative as a breed.

Just responding to being called a "newbie." I don't know it all by any means, but I do know Carr is no leader and this team will never go anywhere with him at the QB position. Yes he has progressed, but in five years this is what you would consider acceptable success in progression? Support him all you want, but he will never take the reigns of leadership on this team.
 
Tell ya the truth, not sure but damn that kid looks like he wants to hit someone everytime he touches the ball.

My Tivo says that is not what came out of his mouth. Looks more like he is yelling to the ref about the contact.
 
The Nogain / Morency trade is the worst one this team has made, other than P-Buc/better players trade. Our RB's should be handing me my Jumbo Jacks .... not playing in the NFL.

I understand that, and I wasnt using you as anything but an example. However if you have been to every game, how could you not see that it was impossible for Carr to progress under the previous coaching staff? He went through 2 incompetent o-cooridinators, the 2 biggest sack seasons ever... I mean give the guy a break.

Fumble fingers extraordinaire. He was benched last game after 2 fubles alone.

Thats the kind of thing Steeler fans said about Terry Bradshaw in season 4 before he won 3 SB's. Wins are about the team not one player.

Just because of that we should keep Carr until he dies because one day...he may turn into Terry Bradshaw.... Are you even serious with these comments?
 
Of all the talk we have heard about the Cowboys not seeing us as a rival but the Texans were all fired up, Im just at a loss for words right now.

OK, this I do know........the name David Carr will never be uttered in the same sentence with Terry Bradshaw when it comes to QB prowess and leadership. When David Carr is out of football, few around the country, save a few Fresno alumni, will even remember who he was.
