Game 10...Can We Win...Arizona Cardinals!

JamTex

Hall Of Fame Texans Fan!
On Sunday, November 19th at 12 noon central time, the Texans will host the Cardinals at home in NRG Stadium. The game will be aired locally in Houston on FOX 26.
This should be winnable, but the Colts game was supposed to be winnable. The Texans got blown out as expected by the Rams. What should we expect against the Cardinals?
The Texans should be able to handle one of the other bad teams in the NFL.
2 bad teams going against each other?
Which bad team will find a way to lose?
The Texans.
Savage just doesn't have it. He loses his concentration as the game progresses and he takes more hits. He starts getting gun shy and miss firing just giving the ball to the other team. Until he can prove otherwise, he is a turn over machine.
The Texans lose in a close, low scoring, boring affair.

Texans 13
Cardinals 23

Depends on who will start. If they roll out 21(Savage) we don't stand a chance. I kinda feel bad for him a little bit because he knows he is pure trash and can't do anything about it.

It's over
Just a clown show for the rest of the season
I’m used to that script but not having a consolation prize in the draft bums me out. Don’t get me wrong I’d probably be ok with CLE getting 3 first round picks for Watson. I just can’t wait for this season to be over and see Watson back at the healm.

Yup
Watson must see tv
Without him every wart and cornhole about how bad this organization is run is totally shining under a bright light

Great game coming up. Might be kind of tough trying to beat Blaine Gabbert. We should be able to make a game of it with Tom the Savage. We also got the best coach in the NFL, Bobby "Mr. QB Whisperer" OBrien. The NFL is already billing this game as "The Clash of the Titans" and they are considering making it the SNF game.

Oh no! Please don't make it a prime time game! :turtle: - banjo turtle, please save us from the much slower than you Tom Savage.

Just given the NFL and what it is, there's a chance the Texans might win two more games. Probably at least one. Well, maybe.

Watching the Texans is almost as entertaining as watching Airplane! with just as many laughs and groans.

This is the best way to watch the Texans games.

Seriously, if some of you can’t think of anything else better to do on Sunday than watch this borefest, then you got some serious quality of life issues going on. Go fishing, play a round of golf, clean out the garage, go somewhere with the wife, do SOMETHING other than sit around and watch this sh!t. My God!

I tried to give a double like but it won't let me.

I tried to do something with the wife last week  but she told me I was too old. :crying: :gun:

:coffee:

When always excited JamTex can't get up for the games in his weekly hype threads ... shits not good. This is when even the most optimistic are looking to next season's draft, and dropped down even further realizing our tanking benefits someone else.

The Texans can't even get a "Suck for Luck" type campaign working, unless "Going down for the Browns" qualifies.

edit:- That didn't sound so gross in my head.

I actually find the predictable humor of Airplane! worth laughing at/with...the Texans are after everyone at the fish

Just like 2013, expectations were pretty high, and now we're pretty low. Gonna be very ugly around here

tanking implies this suckitude is intentional.

I've yet to see the quit that we saw back then

had your head examined recently? :texanbill:

Just think, last place in the AFCS gets us the Browns in Houston next year. We'll get to see all their shiny new draft picks they got from Rick.

And this morning I get a Fed Ex package from my Coushatta host with suite tickets to this weeks game. I don’t even have the will to drive over there and walk in the stadium to watch the pitiful onfield product we are forced to suffer through. I’m sure there’s something more important or entertaining I should be doing Sunday - like taking an enema, having an ingrown toenail removed, waxing my balls, or maybe watching movies about Gladiators..

I am hoping that O'Brien yanks Savage at some point in the first half and that we get to see one more T.J. Yates improbably victory appear. It's Andre Johnson's special day guys, we can't just put up 7 points and **** the bed like we've been doing every week. We can't.

I say this week we put up.......14 points!

We'll put up a 20 burger if T.J. Yates is the starting quarterback. Unfortunately, Tom Savage is starting so we'll score under 10 points yet again.

This game has EPIC written all over it. Look at some of the greatest QB match-ups in NFL history. Marino-Montana, Brady-Manning, Staubach-Bradshaw. Will this Sunday's battle between Savage-Gabbert be included in the pages of NFL lore?

Yup and who's decision was that
So hopeless ....
2 guys need to go
If I remember correctly, Weeden's contract for 2017 was going to cost the Texans ~2 1/2 times what Savage's costs.............and personnel groceries are who's responsibility?

Because of the cost of our recent big time QB horse tradings, it should be obvious that Smith has tried to do everything to save every penny he can for 2018.

Yep,

Just cant wait to see how Ricky sh!ts the bed again.

It sadly reminds me of a David Carr and Rex Grossman matchup way back in the day. No disrespect to those two quarterbacks, they both had better careers than Savage and Gabbert. I just couldn't think of anything else off the top of my head. At least involving the Houston Texans. Tony Banks started a game at San Francisco late in the 2005 season when we finished 2-14. I forgot who the QB was for the 49ers in that game.

If the Texans lose out and finish 3-13 in 2017...
Would that be enough to make big changes at the top?
Is it time to finally fire Rick Smith and Bill O'Brien?
We may see Cal McNair take over the full-time ownership.

He'll find a way to bedazzle some once again... After some of the crap he's pulled, and some of the good fortune he's had... ie. Watt falling to our pick, Mercilus falling (even tho many thought he was a bust, and Watt was boo'd on draft day), then Watson being available because of a bunch of other really inept FO's, I'm really looking forward to what he pulls ooha next.

That was in 2005...aka the Reggie Bush Bowl...Banks out performed Alex Smith that day, but the Texans still managed to lose in OT

3-13 is not 2-14

I doubt we see any changes due to all the injuries, and the early promise shown by Watson and the offense. Cal will take over in '19 unless Bob doesn't make it that far
