50.) Kansas City Cheifs - Kaiser Toro

51.) Houston Texans - Super Mario

52.) Pittsburgh Steelers - steelbtexan

53.) New England Patriots - Kaiser Toro

54.) Cincinnati Bengals - Ole Miss Texan

Those last two picks were the first picks of this draft that were a bit off my draft board.

(Pencils in mid 2nd as the point where value start to diverge amongst teams)

You don't have Bowman & Jerry as mid 2nd picks?

I have them as late 2nd/mid 3rds.

Jerry has potential to be a dominate RT in the NFL for 10 yrs. If he can keep his weight under control.

Jerry certianly fills a need for the 49ers.

Jerry's kind of up in the air but somewhere in the 2nd or early 3rd at the latest is my guess as to where will go. I selected him (could have been a little early) b/c I think Singletary is the perfect kind of coach for him. He's going to let John know exactly what it is that he needs to do. I like Jerry's size but he could stand to lose a few pounds... Our OL is in desperate need of a G and RT and had to try and solidify this spot to help David Ca...err whatever QB starts for us and to run block for Frank Gore and CJ SPiller!

Let the grumbles begin.

The Houston Texans Select:

Morgan Burnett
Free Safety
Georgia Tech
6'1" 209 lbs

Super Productive Career. 235 Tackles, 13 PBU, 14 INT's.

Had big games against quality opponents.

Ball-Hawk safety with 14 carrer INT's.

Natural play maker with great size.

No character concerns. Just a solid all around football player.

Here is a good write-up on Burnett. LINK

Highlight Video. LINK

This is a perfect situation for Burnett who can come in and compete with Eugene Wilson for the starting FS spot. The more I researched this guy, the more I fell in love with the idea of drafting him. He is a solid round 2 prospect who should not be available when we pick in the 3rd. I love the size of this kid. Big enough to play SS if we needed him to.

So lets hear it.

I'd be happy with Burnett. We would finally have a couple of really good players at the safety positions with Burnett and Pollard.

I was going to take Burnett for the Steelers. He's a great choice for the Texans.

I would've taken Asamoah.

With the 52nd pick in the NFL draft the Pittsburgh Steelers select Brandon Ghee CB Wake Forest

I had Ghee and Chris Cook rated the same. But with all of the Steelers problems with the law I decided that Ghee was the best choice for them.

Thats who I took for the Steelers in the 2nd of the last mock draft. Totally agree there.

It comes down to who you think is the better player.

If you have Burnett and Asamoah rated =

Then you must have rated the need in the secodary greater than interior OL.

Cant really go wrong with either one.

I had several other guys targetted here but they got took before I got up. But I have Bowman on my list right about this spot anyway. So he didn't seem like a huge reach to me.

FYI I am going to be out of town this afternoon through this weekend so I wont have constant access to check this thread so yall will be in charge of it. Thx.

I should be close to a computer all weekend if people want to PM me their picks...

Groooovy. Thanks Kiwi.

Reminder: Weekends: Clock stops, but picks can still be made.

Please try to keep this thing going over the weekend if possible. PM'ing your top 3-5 to Kiwi might be easiest for alot of yall.

And it might be good to PM to 2 or 3 people just to make sure that you get them to someone who'll be around.

I could be on that list along with kiwi.

And the Green Bay packers select...

Hillsdale OT, Jared Veldheer

A little raw, but he wont be pressed into starting duty immediately. He is a very athletic player, one that could fit any scheme. I have OT rated pretty highly on the Packers needs, so this fit well.

Yeah, I had the Packers in the other mock and I had tackle and guard both rated pretty high. Tackle higher than guard.
