Watson is a talent that has the potential to do great things.
But, his career will be handicapped by Bill O'Brien.
No amount of leadership can overcome fundamental flaws in the overall organization of the franchise.
Watson doesn't design the schemes that he's expected to run. He doesn't put together game plans (much less this idiotic "game plan offense" nonsense), and he doesn't call plays or make the halftime adjustments.
Watson, by his lonesome, can only do so much when his talent is clearly weighed down in the mud by his head coach, general manager, and offensive coordinator, which just happens to be the same guy (even more indicative of the failure of the Texans ownership).
Watson, like AJ, Nuk, and JJ, will waste their careers in a backwater football franchise that brags about superficial nonsense (i.e. consecutive home game sellouts and the gameday experience).
Unfortunately, epic playoff chokes are now baked into this franchise and taints everyone involved.
Melt it down, get new blood, and then see what Watson is capable of achieving. Otherwise, yesterday is exactly where expectations should be set for this franchise.
