The Colts seem to have figured out the problems with their run defense, getting Bob Sanders back from injury has certainly helped in that department. Too bad the Ravens offense couldn't play as well as their defense, they were my preseason Super Bowl pick. The Ravens defense did a very good job all game and obviously kept the Colts out of the endzone, however at a couple key times in the game they couldn't get the Colts offense off the field on 3rd downs and it cost them, especially on that last drive. Meanwhile the Ravens offense kept getting itself out of managable situations and couldn't move the chains very well, especially on 3rd downs, and four turnovers is generally a recipe for disaster, especially in the playoffs.
The Colts are looking pretty good and for once have won two straight games despite Peyton Manning. However, they're guaranteed to play a 3-4 defense next week and Peyton historically struggles against them too, especially the Patriots. Both defenses are playing well and playing aggressive right now, so we'll have to see if Peyton can rebound and finally get the Colts into the Super Bowl. As much as they've struggled against the Patriots in the past, they may be rooting for them to win tomorrow so they get to return to the RCA Dome for the AFC Championship. Just a few short weeks left until a long offseason, so enjoy every minute of it.
