Could we see Saturday and Mccown battling it out in the AFC South for years to come?!

That school has about 500 high school students.
What size is that? A 4A high school?
Precedence has been set. Josh McCown come on down
According to wiki they have 1150 students and compete at 3A..
Irsay is saying that the present GM position is solid for 2023.Precedence has been set. Josh McCown come on down

And watch them take a quarterback. The Colts are looking to compete for our number 1 draft pick next year. LOL
And they should if they believe in one... Their team isn't lacking muchAnd watch them take a quarterback.

I thought the colts were thought to have an outstanding oline, atleast until very recently ?And they should if they believe in one... Their team isn't lacking much
why did you quote me there?I thought the colts were thought to have an outstanding oline, atleast until very recently ?
And they don’t have 20 draft picks in the next two drafts. Nor do they have the money that we will have to spend on free agent. And they should if they believe in one... Their team isn't lacking much
Sorry that was missplaced.why did you quote me there?

How did they dismantle the oline? The past couple of years, they have totally dismantled that line. Brett Kollmann was talking about this when he was talking about the whole Jeff Saturday thing.

They bring in one of those Shanahan/Kubiak types and you will never hear about o-line being a problemAnd they don’t have 20 draft picks in the next two drafts. Nor do they have the money that we will have to spend on free agent.

This deserves its own thread rather than just an NFL Random Thought mention.
Irsay must be back on the pills.
Irsay is showing Stephen Ross, owner of the Dolphins how to get your team to tank with out telling your head coach he needs to tank it for the rest of the season. This deserves its own thread rather than just an NFL Random Thought mention.

False. The only light guy was Meyers and his movement made him a pro-bowl level player. O-line is about technique and leverage, not really size. There are alot of teams that run zbs with sub 320 lbs guys. Have you seen these defensive lines now days? Dlines are smaller.Their Zone Blocking Scheme was successful due to permitted Cut-Blocks. Teams can’t survive with light but quick OL.

Aren't most teams still running some ZBS? Quite a bit of it actually. And cut-blocks are still being madeSorry, but the permissible use of Cut-Blocks made the ZBS in both Denver and Houston successful. When the "Cut-Block" was removed it changed the idea that just about any OL drafted late and came in at a little under typical NFL OL size could work effectively within the ZBS.

You wouldn't like Alex Gibbs coaching the OL for you?Cut-Blocks are now made at a higher risk of being flagged. I like the ZBS being executed with bigger linemen versus the 290 pound types.
You wouldn't like Alex Gibbs coaching the OL for you?
but they're all over 300 lbs...I would’ve dug the opportunity to have Gibbs coaching the OL provided Caserio (If Gibbs was still with us) gave him the talent to make it one of the best units in the NFL.
I’m just not sure that Gibbs could’ve worked his magic with the Texans current talent.
Pretty much. Seattle,49ers,Philly, there are more than that who zbs. Your o-line doesn't have to be small, just able to move on that rail.Aren't most teams still running some ZBS? Quite a bit of it actually. And cut-blocks are still being made
People don't realize how big D. Brown was at his weight before BOB came in trying to make him bigger. 300 lbs is big enough on the o-line.but they're all over 300 lbs...
You give the impression I was saying differentPeople don't realize how big D. Brown was at his weight before BOB came in trying to make him bigger. 300 lbs is big enough on the o-line.

Methinks the benching of Ryan is why Reich was firedMakes me wonder if the forced benching of Ryan was meant to accelerate the firing of Reich.
It was an accelerator bonus for Ryan alsoMethinks the benching of Ryan is why Reich was fired
Jeff Saturday wins his first game as HC! Makes me wonder if the forced benching of Ryan was meant to accelerate the firing of Reich.
This is bad for the Raiders. The Colts just picked up someone with no coaching experience beyond high school MID SEASON as their HC and went into their house and beat them. Mcdaniels’ seat is getting warm I suspect.
