CJ Stroud year 2

Tell me this kid ain't a prototype NFL franchise QB leader..

The emotion to live or die by winning and losing, but the control to not let it take over his actions in a negative way.

Alerting teammates pre-drive to pressure/hot situations, keeping seemingly everyone in the moment play after play.. even the refs (;)).

An entire squad of O-linemen that love blocking for the kid so much it looks like they'd stop a moving bus with their bare hands to protect him.

And the relationship with Tank is just effin' fun, seems easy and genuine as could be.

Also a little Roy Lopez cameo, that was neat.

He called Tank "shrimp" at the beginning of the video. Is that another nickname for him?

& what is he saying to snap the ball, "one 18 wet snap"?

CJ reminds me of Eli Manning in that you just don't see much emotion from him. Great play, good play, bad play, he looks the same on the field and the sideline. Yeah, he has his little cross the arms thing on TD passes, but There are no great displays of emotions in game. I can't believe how much I like this QB. Houston should immediately make massage parlors and therapists illegal.

Oh man yall gotta watch this short clip, gives me chills.

CJ is always showing emotion out there. He has a different hand shake for each receiver/back. And the celebration dance and the folding of the arms, like yeah I’m a bad mamma jamma. Eli never showed that type of emotion. Lol

before the interview Aaron Rodgers was on, and the McAfee said CJ would be coming on next. Aaron was like "oh wow CJ" with wide eyes. CJ got that respect man

by the way, I saw this comparison of CJ elsewhere and think it's the most accurate - CJ Stroud is a taller version of Drew Brees with how he moved in the pocket and only scrambled when needed. I've heard Burrow, Mahomes, Herbert, etc., being compared to CJ but the Drew comparison is probably the best.

Great points! Brees holds the NFL record for career accuracy, which is CJ's own self-description as a 'ball placement specialist' (which is seriously a badass term ).

Add to the mix being clutch, low turnover percentage, and leadership, and those are the top qualities of Drew's HoF career.

And they're qualities that CJ has clearly shown in just 12 games.

Smile! Because it's a good time to be a Texans fan. :texflag:

p.s.
:koolaid:

Can anyone tell me what Stroud's S2 score was? Can anyone tell me what Bryce Young's score was? Someone mentioned they thought it was probably the Texans spreading the rumors about the S2 scores so they could draft Stroud. Whatever. LOL

I think it's all BS.

Rumor was Bryce scored in the 98% percentile while Stroud scored in the 18% percentile.

I like what Stroud said "I'm not a test taker, I play football".

Yeah I don’t think it was the Texans because they’re not subscribed to that s2 thingy (whatever you call it). If I had to guess…..it be the colts that spread that rumour

Or the Titans maybe

How can it be credible and be so wrong? Stround has excellent cognitive abilites on the field - way better than Bryce at this point in Bryce's career. Isn't that what it was supposed to indicate?

His on-the-field cognitive abilities are Brady-level elite.

Rumor was Bryce scored in the 98% percentile while Stroud scored in the 18% percentile.

"I play football" is the understatement of the year.
