Bryan Hoyer Fan Club

Today was not surprising and always expected from the time they first announced he was a Texan. I truly hope today's performance is the nail in the coffin and tells O'Brien all he needs to know about HIS QB.

I was thinking this all day. Especially in the 2nd half. There came a point where the silver lining was evident. This game will make, no FORCE Houston to get a quality QB.............at least one would think.

Question:
What makes you (or anyone else) think O'Brien can coach up a rookie QB when he can't improve on his guy that spent significant time in this system?
anyone....?

Lemons to lemonade comes to mind. Hoyer is already lemonade. Horrible thought, but I believe it to be true.

Maybe we can get Keenum back and have him and Yates battle it out with Weeden. We wouldn't need to draft a QB then. :evilb:

tbh, I think we would have at least been competitive today with Keenum, Yates, or Weeden out there.

I'm fairly certain that this was the most pathetic Houston playoff game that I can remember. Not most disgusting, of course, but just sad and pathetic, like a big lump of wet bread.

I know we can't always get what we want but I wish somebody would lock this ******* thread and let it sink to the bottom of the board so we don't have to keep looking at the idiot ramblings of Marshall when he made the decision to start this thing.

It needs to go in the locker where the Letterman Jackets are kept. You know, the one we don't open.

I think it should be tattoo'd on Bob and OB's eyelids so they can't escape it and they have a constant reminder of what a shitty QB Hoyer is so OB doesn't have selective amnesia and try to trot that douche back out under center.

Hoyer has never been starting QB material. Putting him on that stage was setting him and the team up for failure.

Not being honest with him about his own limitations is on the coach who started him.

Guys hoyer was only here for 1 year and im glad that's over with at least we don't have to be stuck with him like we were with Matt all those years

but looking at the F/a QB list next year its grim unless Mcgroin comes in has another project BUt just saying that's the picture but I think Hoyer is has good has gone or at least a 3rd stringer

im not even as upset as I would be if I felt this team had a viable chance to make a deep playoff run. I was expecting a Hoyer blow up at some point that would ultimately cost us a chance at winning....not quite the Nagaski A-bomb that happened with him though..glad it happened the way it did for a number of reasons though.

I agree.

Case was named the 2016 starter for the LA Rams. He gonna get paid.
Why come back to this train wreck?

I hope it works out for Case. I really do. But that was just coach speak to keep the offseason talk to a minimum.

Man after having it all set in HOYER really did have a Meltdown he just throw picks giving them away like candy I guess its safe to say he will be Cut and moving out of Houston right ..????

OK Marshall I don't hate you.. I apologize, I was still pissed off about the game after I watched the worst QB performance of my lifetime... speaking of which, did we release Hoyer yet?
No, but it could be worse. He could get an extension. lol

I deserve all the razzing. I fully expected the opposite reaction to his big opportunity. But maybe it will make moving on a little more palatable. He's just had too many concussions to even try the comeback.

But I wasn't gone for football reasons. I crashed my computer, fortunately the power supply rather than the hard drive. Following that, I spent some time at the hospital after medication and dehydration issues.

It makes the end of the season fall into perspective. Disappointing, but not life or death.

I was in awe of the pace and accuracy of Cousins passes on Sunday. He throws a very pretty ball... At least, I think he does. The other possibility is that I am so unaccustomed to Qbs with arm talent as a Texan fan that I am very easily impressed.

Does the Texans FO have any idea how a return of Hoyer next year would be received?............as well as if they decided to bring David Carr or Schaub back as our veteran

Considering how our last coach received his early exit for sticking with an unpopular quarterback, I'm certain that McNair won't allow Hoyer back if O'Brien hasn't decided that already.

Rick Smith will take his nose out of Cal's butt, take a couple of hits off the crack pipe and sign Hoyer to a 5 yr 100 mil contract with a 30 mil signing bonus.

Hoyer is under contract for 2016, so if Smith extends NOW at that price or any other with guaranteed money, I'd have to change sides on the Smith discussion as well. But I'm confident he won't.

But I've been disappointed a lot recently.
