And my argument is that you and many others have no middle ground in a bipolar world. Your an on-off switch and I'm a rheostat (dimmer switch).
ON - OFF; GOOD - BAD
vs
BAD - POOR - AVG - GOOD - VERY GOOD - GREAT
Wrong again. I'm well aware of the elite QBs, the very good QBs, the average QBs and the bad/not very good QBs, because lets face it, in the NFL if you're below average it really doesn't matter what level it is, you will be replaced shortly.
So, no, it isn't just an on/off switch. I actually have the ability to watch a QB's play on the field and factor in several other things, stats, who he plays, what he does in situations, the team around him, the throws he makes, you know, the entire spectrum, then I'm able to formulate an opinion. Unlike someone who just says, "hey look, 94.4 QBR, we've got a pretty good QB here" end of story. That's a statement by someone where it doesn't matter what type of switch you have. That's a statement by someone with a burnt out bulb.
A 94.4 QBR is great. Well, not great, average to good. But to just use that stat and ignore everything else is just a lie.
