Will be interesting to see if they struggle on offense.
No Ray Rice, but a QB with a superbowl win.
And, of course, Gary..

I'm good with either strategy. On the other hand, posting in one all inclusive thursdsy night thread for every game this season is ridiculous. The infatuation with these 100 page megathreads is getting old.
Ravens don't look that predictable to me.
I think it helps Gary to just focus on being an OC instead of
HC/OC..
Interesting to see if the steelers start to come back in
the second half..

Not having a gimp at QB might have something to do with that as well.
Why didn't I pick him up for my fantasy team?LOL Why did we let go of Owen Daniels? TD Ravens #81.
Not to mention a non-gimp with a strong armNot having a gimp at QB might have something to do with that as well.
Well, it was a good run, but defense is dead in the NFL.
Mike Pereira @MikePereira
For those asking about the hits, I think both are legal hits. Course, I'm watching from Cafe Vinoteca and I have had a @TitosVodka.
I'm cutting Torrey Smith on Tuesday.
Me too.
Steve Smith appears to have AJ's spot in the offense.
No deep balls in Kubiak's offense.
Re: Game Thread Steelers @ Ravens 9/11
Yay! At least with Kubiak he seems to adjust when **** ain't workin'! Couppe bad drives, but we got through it. In the past when we went bad, we tended to stay bad all game long.
Re: Game Thread Steelers @ Ravens 9/11
God bless Gary Kubiak.
Re: Game Thread Steelers @ Ravens 9/11
There's Gary Kubiak...then there's 50 feet of crap...and then there's Jim Caldwell

"The tape" is out there now. All eight years of Texans tendencies and before that, Denver.Yawn.
Lots of screens and play action. Typical Kubiak.
I'm sure once teams start to study the tape, it won't be too hard to figure the Ravens offense out.
Interesting comment from the Ravens board.![]()

B.ro got crushed.
Defender did lead with his head....
I just...I don't know. Good call I guess. I hope texans players are paying attention. Keep leading with those shoulders.
This was the one play I remember going forward. I have no clue how players on defence are advised by coaches now. They are under so much scrutiny the second they collide with an offensive player, I swear I suspect a flag is coming on almost every play.
The thing about that play was that it seemed like a flag for hitting the QB too hard...Which is basically what I think it was...
You can lead with your head when you are tackling RB's coming down hill at you.
I get the helmet to helmet stuff...Arms to the head area....
But when you put your face mask into a guys chest and wrap, that is what was commonly thought as text book. Not the crown of the head...Not spearing...But looking through your face mask...head up...and putting a hat on your target....
The next thing they are going to outlaw is diving at a QB's legs from behind when they are escaping pressure.
I pretty much lost interest in the game after that and I turned it off...
Defender got no where near the QB's head...he did lead with his own facemask though, but I don't see how that puts the QB in danger...other than it makes him more susceptible to being hit harder...
One has to wonder, I don't because I know, that if a RB had been hit square like that as he caught a pass in the flat and turned to run upfield, would there have been a flag thrown...The thing about that play was that it seemed like a flag for hitting the QB too hard...Which is basically what I think it was...

I didn't see the play. Did the defender come off his feet or drive straight through the tackle?

Watching it live it looked like he just ran straight through him..Based on memory..
