0/1, INT

I wish Nitrofish could just admit he was wrong and stupid about Schaub so I could take him seriously. Schaub is a complete abortion and a disgrace to QBs everywhere.

Before injuries, he was a very good QB. And a class act as a man

I'm just happy that he is with the Raiders. Couldn't help but laugh and feel a little sorry for the guy today. Still, we're better off.

You expect people to take you seriously with a play like this? This is what you are basing your comments on? Nobody has seen Schaub play this season. When Schaub starts a few games and flames out. I will oblige. Until then you guys are picking at very low hanging fruit.

When you start name calling and can't come up with any viable arguments, I feel incredibly superior to you and realize that your helplessness is expressed in your pejorative language.

I'm not a smart man but I know what bad QB play is.

Watching Fitzpatrick out there makes you appreciate the 2008-2010 versions of Matt Schaub.

Anyone who doesn't appreciate it without having to watch a crappy QB, is not the sharpest brick in the elevator.
I guess I'm that brick then. How would you know Fitz won't play well under Kubiak, behind a very good oline, with AJ in his prime and Owen Daniels? How successful you think Schaub could be if he was thrown in the same carousel of teams that Fitzpatrick had been?

I am never a fan of a QB that folds under pressure as much as Schaub has been. Fitzpatrick has never been great, but he also never single handedly cost his teams games in epic fashion the way Schaub had been.

This is simply not true. Ask Bills fans.

That wasn't a fake punt....It was a fake field goal.

They started in a FG formation....Then they shifted into a regular offensive formation.

Matt bobbled the snap. Threw it up, and it got picked. Was almost a pick six had it not been for the horse collar by the O-lineman.

Matt was an upgrade over Carr and he was a good to very good QB for a couple years.

Nooo matt tell me u didn't LOL OMG LOL :koolaid::koolaid:

Honestly, that's the best pass I've seen him throw in a long time. Got his feet set & man.. looks pretty strong. That receiver needs to reach out & pluck that thing out of the air is what needs to happen, the heartless bastird.

Neither of them are clutch QBs and both are simple game managers.

Schaub had a better arm than Fitz, but neither seem to be able to lead receivers and always seem to throw right behind their target.

But, you're right, whose to say that Fitz could not have been better with better coaching? He's been on losing teams with bad coaching, and we are seeing the best he can be right now with a so-called 'QB guru' in O'Brien and a decent roster of talent.

My previous post wasn't to compare them but to say to Schaub's detractors that his 2008-2010 seasons should be appreciated around these parts, all things considered.

Unfortunately, this franchise has yet to see a "franchise QB", but they've only been existence for 13 seasons. There are other franchises that have waited much longer to see a franchise QB on their roster. Those guys don't seem to grow on trees.

I guess you are that brick then because we were talking about Schaub '08-'10, not the '13 version where he was a broken down pick 6 machine. From '08-'10, and even '11 and most of '12, Schaub was a very good QB, one of the 8-12 best QBs in the league, miles ahead of what Fitzpatrick has ever been. EVER! EVER!!

I just don't get how anyone can defend a mediocre at best QB for the entire 10 years he's been in this league with the fevor they do, regardless of the carousel of teams he's been on. He was a starter for 3 1/2 years in Buffalo, completed less than 60% of his passes, had an 80/64 TD/INT ratio, and a QB rating below 80. How much time do you need? Schaub only threw 55 INT from '08 - '12 (6 years), completed 65% of his passes and had a QB rating of 94. Fitz hasn't had a QB rating over the 87.6 he currently has with Houston in his entire 10 year career.

So yeah, if you can't appreciate how much better it was with Schaub pre '13, then your elevator is coming up a little short of a happy meal.

Rep if I could...

As a fellow traveler on this planet I feel bad for Matt Schaub. Really bad.

Agree, but OAK did lose 52-0 and he was in for trash time.

Still, pick 6 & lost fumble... gotta hurt.

Amazing how someone can go from a pro bowl QB to this..

During his good years he was the best QB the Texans have seen in their short history, including the bunch this year. Poor ole post injury Schaub just was never the same.

uhhhhhh why

I asked my dad today if u think schaub will sign a one day contract here to retire a Texan LOL

So he was better than HWSNBN and Fitz is third on that list? Hahaha that's f'in sad.

Yep injury took him out.

The probowl game , I think jacked him up mentally also. I think he ended up with around a 29qb rating in that "game". Or I should say, it didnt help him mentally

As someone pointed out already. Let's keep it in perspective. The Raiders were losing 45 to 0 in the 4th and Schaub was put in. They threw the ball nearly every play, and it's not like the D didn't know it was coming. He looked pretty good otherwise if you actually watched the game and had lots of zip on the ball. It's not like the Rams pass rushers are a bunch of no name chumps.

Dude, you really sound like a VY fan with your constant defending of Schaub.

Well we seem really pathetic to continue to keep tabs on Schaub & make a big deal about it every time he screws up. He's gone. He's not a Texans anymore. We need to get over it.

It's not his fault that Rick Smith offered him a contract to keep him here two years longer than he should have been. It's not his fault that Kubiak chose him to be our starting QB to begin with. He's just a dude who took advantage of the opportunities afforded him.

Continuing to bring him up is juvenile. It's not like he's out there taking shots at H-Town, the Texans, or Texans' fans.

Uhh, you've been posting on this thread too buddy. I haven't even said much bad about him, I was just posting that Nitrofish sounds like a VY fan who also were and still are unable to admit that his career was done a long time ago and will blame anything but the man himself on his poor play.

Yeah, dude already is having a bad career after the injury and yet people seem it's right to kick him some more.

Schaub had his faults, but, I would never wish him any ill will. Ever since I saw him get injured with a dislocated shoulder, and then GO BACK INTO THE GAME, I had some sense of respect for him.

At this point, I kinda feel sorry for the guy.

Now, Kubiak on the other hand? Yeah, no. My friends think I need therapy for all the expletives I use when I talk about that guy. LOL.
