Sounds like every Gary Kubiak coached team.
Right because Moon played on the defensive side too.
Score a touchdown in the 2nd half of any of those games and I would agree with you.
Moon was not a clutch QB, but I do vividly remember feeling like the Oilers would win every game in the regular season, year after year. We EXPECTED it as Oilers fans. I have yet to have those types of feelings and expectations with the Texans.
Bump for obvious reasons.I just have to bump this thread.
I have a name out there that will be on the HC market this season. It is a name that most of you won't like, but its . He'll get hired by someone next year for sure. I know people won't want him because he is another guy from NE and because of how he looked in Denver. I think Mcdaniels might do well the 2nd time around if he can find the right team.
He's better suited as a coordinator. He's too proud/cocky to be a head coach at the moment, even after extra seasoning under Belichick. It may be the baby face, or knee jerk decisions, or just he is overly-charismatic, but he doesn't resonate with players as a disciplinarian. It is one reason Zimmer has done so well in Minnesota, he demands respect with an almost fatherly tone. McDaniels is the NFL version of Lane Kiffin, too brash for some players taste.

I say we bring back real Texan football. Lets go after Kyle Shanahan. Bring back the zone blocking scheme. Brock has experience in it. Change the D to a 4-3. Clowney goes back to his natural position. Watt can do any position. Merciless opposite clowney.
Anyway, I think Kyle is ready for the next step. When he was our offensive coordinator our offense was at its best in our history.
It's gonna be hard to recover from the salary cap wreckage Bill O'Brien and Rick Smith have wrought.
We're bottom 10 in cap space until 2020 and almost no flexibility for next year.
This is your team for the foreseeable future!

Tom Landry started coaching in 1960 and in consecutive years went 0-11, 4-9, 5-8, 4-10, 5-8, 7-7. That kind of patience with your coach doesn't exist in the NFL anymore. I'm not as familiar w/ the McNair's as many of you and am curious to hear your thoughts. If we end up 8-8, does he keep BOB around? If he does and we're 8-8 again next year, does he still keep him around?
So I believe O'Brien will have to go against the owners request or his teams will have to stank up the joint for him to get fired. Remember after that horrendous start last season Mr. McNair said that's enough, if changes aren't made, heads will start rolling. Paraphrasing of course.
That's with Brock Osweiler taking a $20M cap hit. If he's proven to be a franchise QB by that time, it don't really matter what the cap space looks like. If he hasn't, that adds $20M to our free cap space, because he'll be gone. Or at least should be. That would put us in the middle of the pack.
Sign me up for this. Kyle's offense in Atlanta lights up the scoreboard. I think he is definitely the next up and coming head coach. If we can't pry a proven winner like John Harbaugh, that is the guy I want.I say we bring back real Texan football. Lets go after Kyle Shanahan. Bring back the zone blocking scheme. The Texans are a loser franchise. I want a winner. I don't care who or what gets us there. What on earth have Rick Smith, Bill O'Brien and Brock Osweiler have done to gain anyone's support much less adoration. All of them deserve to be raked over the coals and skewered mercilessly for the crap product we have on the field. This team is light years away from being a real contender. You're the worst kind of fan. Basically you'll sign up for anyone the Texans don't currently actually have on the team or part of the coaching staff at the moment.
9-7, 9-7, 4-3 so far under BoB. I would have thought we would have had to have lost more games than we won to be a loser but what do I know. The Texans are a loser franchise.

9-7 going to the playoffs with an up and coming team that wins a playoff game is a lot different than a 9-7 team that got blown out 30-0 at home and signed the worst starting QB in the league to a $72 million contract. Excuse me for calling garbage for what it is.9-7, 9-7, 4-3 so far under BoB. I would have thought we would have had to have lost more games than we won to be a loser but what do I know.
20 teams had the same record or worse than the Texans last year -- all garbage I guess. Is there a distinction between the 11 garbage teams that were 6-10 or worse and the Texans. Maybe super garbage? I'm just trying to get my bearings w/ your pejoratives.9-7 going to the playoffs with an up and coming team that wins a playoff game is a lot different than a 9-7 team that got blown out 30-0 at home and signed the worst starting QB in the league to a $72 million contract. You should b!tch some more, McNair is on here listening.
You should've been a Patriots fan, still can be.
Although I'm still hoping for years of desolation from that franchise after Belichick and Brady leave.
We all have our dreams.
What do the Patriots have to do with this discussion?
Why all of the BB/Brady hate? You hate excellence?
Moon gives the team a 28 pt lead and the defense can't hold it.Most overrated QB in NFL history. Never even reached an AFC championship game. Had the Buffalo debacle. The offense lead by Moon had leads in the last 3 playoff game losses he played in. Loss Denver/Loss Buffalo/Loss/K.C. the offense had trouble scoring points in the 2nd halves of playoff games.
Great regular season QB though.
Talk to Kevin Gilbride, he was calling the plays.Score a touchdown in the 2nd half of any of those games and I would agree with you.
It wasn't today. When is the next game this team gets obliterated?
You know it's coming.
Sounds like you're looking forward to it.When is the next game this team gets obliterated?

I wish Cal McNair would shut off the lights and uppercut the sh1t out of Rick Smith in the locker room.If he makes the playoffs you can pencil that in as a yes.
McNair would be the one that would extend him. I don't think Rick has anything to do with that unfortunately.I wish Cal McNair would uppercut the sh1t out of Rick Smith.
He has a lot to do with the atrocities they've been trotting around NRG on Sundays.McNair would be the one that would extend him. I don't think Rick has anything to do with that unfortunately.
