I've been having the same problem. Glad to hear it's not just me.

Unless you've got an ad blocker, the ads are running amok unless you're on a browser with an ad blocker. That's the primary issue with speed imho. The ads on a mobile or iPad are freaking crazy. It completely ruins the experience. I'd love to donate to get rid of ALL ads for every user to get back to some semblance of a website and MB that functions. Right now, it's worse than the worst of the worst clickbait sites. It's untenable and a horrible user experience right now. I keep asking for it to be fixed on the bugs forum, and nothing changes. This isn't days or weeks...it's now turning into months. It hasn't even been acknowledged. I'm hoping others will chime in on the bug thread and help create momentum toward fixing this major ad/slowness problem.

Just installed AdGuard as an add on to Firefox. I think it fixed my problem...so far.

You can be in the act of pressing a button and an ad drops down and you inadvertently press it.
That then opens Pandora's Box. 🙄😡

Texans hot to trot for Patrick Queen. I love Blake, but Queen would absolutely ball in this defense.

I would love to see Queen replace Perryman and resign Cashmen to play Sam again. Along with Harris that would be a terrific LB group

Morse, who had one year left on his contract, had expressed a desire to stay with the Bills. He's 31
link

Morse was a dependable teammate for QB Josh Allen as he started and played in 77 games during his five years with the Bills.

The center was voted a team captain by his teammates in 2022 and 2023. Morse played an integral role on the offensive line in 2023 as the group led the league in fewest sacks allowed with 24. 2023 he played 1120 snaps allowing only one sack. Is known for being a mauler on the second level. I’m sorry but he’s head and shoulders better than anyone on this team that has ever lined up a Center.

who’s our starting C again? Honestly I don’t even know. I do know Morse is better.

Not arguing that, but Texans don't need to invest big money in a center that will be 32 before the season starts
I agree with you on that. But what if you could get him on a reasonable contract that you could get out of after say two years?

Looks like the smart FA money right now is for RBs and Safeties.
We can't hope that Pitre will be better this year, we can upgrade next week.
Right now, Dameon Pierce is our #1 RB - we have to resign Singletary and upgrade our run game with another back.
These two positions are undervalued by the market right now is the smart time to invest there.

The Texans have been pretty shrewd with the money they've spent so far. K and TE had slim pickings when it came to options. I'm ok with the Fairbairn and Schultz signings. I think they can make significant upgrades at RB and S. Plenty of options available, so whatever the HC thinks will be the best scheme fit for what we are doing should be fine and may not have to break the bank. I'm starting to think they're going go DL and CB in the their first 2 picks in the draft.

I would still like to add a stud DT in FA - those guys are often times hard to evaluate in the draft and they would majorly transform our defense.

I am a bit iffy about HBs - simply because in the past great HBs switching teams often times played a lot worse for their new team. But I would be fine with spending money here. I would prefer a guy, that can consistently get you 3-6 yards each run over a homerun hitter, that can't run out the clock. And of course one, that can also be a factor in the passing game.

I am all for going after a safety.

I don't know if we can realistically get a DT like Jones or Howard plus a HB like Henry/Jacobs/Barkey and a safety like McKinney/Simmons - and fill out the roster by resigning Nelson, Cashman and several others - but that would be my perfect FA. I'd be fine with adding a WR,pass rusher, CB via the draft.

I don’t see the Texans getting the big fish like Wilkins. It’s just not how Caserio does things (past with Pats included). He’s going to load up on the best value signings instead of signing the big fish. Where I think he could spend is getting a highly rated player at a position where there is a lot more supply on the market (RB/safety in FA).

You can get an all pro safety (Simmons, Byard) or a solid ascending safety (Mckinney, Curl) and a workhorse RB (Barkley, Jacobs, Henry) for what it’ll cost for Wilkins or Jones. Maybe less… Might even be able to re-sign Rankins and be around the same cost.

It may depend (and I hope it does) on whether Demeco thinks he will fit and if he pounds the table for him - or any other guy for that matter.

I would bet on this.

The only guy they visited with that's worthy of 1-23 on the offensive side of the ball is Thomas.

If Wilkins comes to Kirby it will be because Ryans wants him.

But Chris Jones is the "big fish" and not Wilkins right and he's couple years younger than Jones ?
It's gonna take close to 30M (per year) for Jones, I don't want that. How much less annualy will
Wilkins be ?

Jones is likely trying to set the record AAV for interior defensive linemen, just under $32 million hauled in by Aaron Donald. Wilkins can likely be had for the $24 million AAV that Quinnen Williams received last season.

If thats true I would think that Wilkens could be had for cheaper than Williams...no way in hell is Wilkens as good as Q. Williams...but Wilkens would be my FA target right behind Saquon Barkley.

Yea see that number is silly because only QBs are worthy of QB money.

Salaries go up as the salary cap goes up. Benchmarks are passed by. QB money becomes pass rusher money. The world of the NFL is never stagnant.

The Baltimore Ravens and defensive tackle Justin Madubuike have agreed to a four-year deal, the team announced Friday. The contract is worth $98 million and includes $75.5 million total in guarantees with $53.5 million at signing, sources told ESPN's Adam Schefter.

If you want a C, why not just take Jackson Powers-Johnson and have him on a rookie deal for 5 years?
Texans will want to see how Patterson goes for a full season before they jump in on another C.
I like JPJ a lot but why would you use pick 23 on a C when there are plenty of qaulity FA C that could be had relatively cheap and you could use 23 to draft a top rated CB or DE? makes no sense.

Would have been interested last offseason. But now Texans have two promising players on rookie contracts in Scruggs/Patterson. Let them get the reps and spend money elsewhere.
I keep reading comments like this and wondering if we watched the same games last year. What games did Scruggs and Patterson play that made you feel they were promising players? Neither showed much of anything last year.

Scruggs was injured much of the year and then played LG. Never touched Center. But in preseason, he showed a lot of promise at C. They also moved up in the 2nd round to take him. Let’s get real. There is a literal zero chance they are taking a Center in the first round, and unlikely to draft a C at all. Can’t rule out a day 3 guy that drops that they really like but that’s even unlikely to me. They have 3 incumbents and plenty of depth, and can always add a different vet to the mix if they want.

Why would you draft a guy like chop Robinson with his lack of production? Pollard made 10m last year, what do you expect him to make with that subpar season last year. Is Al Shaair an upgrade to Cashman or is it just trying to put 49er ex players on this squad? I get Wilkins, that should be their priority, but losing Greenard at the same time is hustling backwards to me.

Al-Shaair would definitely be an upgrade to Cashman imo & I sorta called this weeks ago if it comes to pass. It’s not only the 49ers/Meco connection to it, it’s the cleaner injury history it’s the production, it’s the better tackling & to me he’s more athletic and able to cover flexed out TE’s better than Cashman imo. He’s also a vet (no pro learning curve) but still young enough to where he can grow with this young defense. and just based on his production with Tenn last year, I believe he’s also right in that window to where he’s about ready to have a breakout season. Like Harris, he’s also a heat seeking missle and a thumper. You pair him and Harris together they’re probably the most athletic pair of LB’s in the league.

I wouldn’t read too much into his availability over this last year. Kid was an undrafted FA in SF and After the 49ers paid Warner, he was just the odd man out As Greenlaw just got more of the opportunity to prove himself as the higher drafted player. Al-Shaair had 1 year where he started the majority of the games in SF and then this year in Tenn where he was a starter. & If u compare the production of both he and Greenlaw as starters….damn near identical.

Contrast that with Cashman who had his best year health wise this year and still missed 4 games due to injury.

I've been a proponent of bringing in Al Shaair, I do think Al Shaair and Cashman are close but I like Cashman better because he's better in coverage IMHO. However given Cashman's injury history give me Al Shaair over Cashman. The key is finding the next Cashman on the cheap. I dont think you can find this guy in FA this yr. However there are a number of guys that are talented in the draft. Nate Watson is a guy I'm hoping falls to 4-125. He would be a great pick at that point. IMHO

Payton Wilson would be a great pick at 2-59. I dont think he falls that far.

I don't want him particularly either.
Merely making the suggestion to the previous poster.

Why not keep both?
Some depth/versatility would be great at LB.
