I wouldn’t mind drafting him. I like his route running skills. He was a day 3 prospect, but he could be moving to a day 2.Longhorns WR Golden two receptions 49 yards but one was 6 yards vs Clemson.

He drops too many and makes terrible decisionsI wouldn’t mind drafting him. I like his route running skills. He was a day 3 prospect, but he could be moving to a day 2.
Which WRs do you have your eye on in the upcoming draft? He drops too many and makes terrible decisions
It's early for me but Ebuka is one I have been watching only because Stroud knows him wellWhich WRs do you have your eye on in the upcoming draft?
Do you want to spend a 1st on him? It's early for me but Ebuka is one I have been watching only because Stroud knows him well
I like Bolden also... probably more than GoldenDo you want to spend a 1st on him?
Silas Bolden would also be a guy I would look at in the late rds. Slot guy who is a KR,PR.
I like Golden, sure he has a few drops. But he runs good routes and has a thing the Texans wr corps is missing, he's dynamic with the ball in his hands.
I don’t know Bolden. I’ll have to look at him. Is he playing in any of the all star games?Do you want to spend a 1st on him?

If we don’t get Warren or Loveland in rd1, we could draft Taylor of day 2.Mason Taylor is my TE2 in this draft. Big, tough, can get down the seams, great hands, is a good blocker. Great bloodlines
I like Warren more than Taylor because he's a better blocker and they're about the same as receivers. If we don’t get Warren or Loveland in rd1, we could draft Taylor of day 2.
But I don’t know if Caserio is going to have TE at the top of our needs list since he signed Schultz and drafted Stover.
With seven catches for $149 yards and a touchdown golden did pretty well today.I wouldn’t mind drafting him. I like his route running skills. He was a day 3 prospect, but he could be moving to a day 2.
I take this back, TE3Mason Taylor is my TE2 in this draft. Big, tough, can get down the seams, great hands, is a good blocker. Great bloodlines
I don’t mind Egbuka, but I’d change the rounds 2-3 guys. I’d look at iOL, RB, or S if we took Egbuka rd1.Here is an interesting draft. I would take Tre Harris over the Ohio State wide receiver despite of the connection with Stroud.
No trades Wyatt Milum; Tre Harris and pick 'em.I don’t mind Egbuka, but I’d change the rounds 2-3 guys. I’d look at iOL, RB, or S if we took Egbuka rd1.
This yr he's been injured, I dont think he's had a bad injury history.I just don't see Tre Harris as the WR we need. I see him in the same mold and traits as Nico, only shorter. And he always seem to have some sort of injury. But you can't deny his productivity in Lane Kiffen's offense.
To go along with his injuries this year, he had a knee injury in 2023 which required a "minor" procedure. This yr he's been injured, I dont think he's had a bad injury history.
Wut? Harris is 6'3 210 and Nico 6'4 215. He missed three games this season due to a groin / hip injury and reaggravated it by coming back too soon in late November.I just don't see Tre Harris as the WR we need. I was unaware of the minor knee surgery in 2023. Thanks. I do not think that will be an issue going forward. To go along with his injuries this year, he had a knee injury in 2023 which required a "minor" procedure.
I'm a Harris fan and it healthy he's a top 20 pick in this draft and probably the best wr in this draft. Dude can play, he was playing on the level of BTJ, Nabers last year.Wut? If he refuses to participate in combine, I would be a bit more concerned.
You and I are seeing the same things with Harris and the players he has been compared to are really good. It's almost like having a second chance at Brian Thomas. 2 years ago I was really in on Donovan Jackson but I did not follow him closely this year.I'm a Harris fan and it healthy he's a top 20 pick in this draft and probably the best wr in this draft. Rd. 1 Harris
Rd.2 Donovan Jackson
If Tre Harris/Tyler Booker/Tyler Warren/Nick Emmanwori were there at 1-19 who would you choose? I would go with Harris or Booker probably. I realize they probably aren't going TE in the 1st couple of rds. Maybe they get Helm in the 4th, which would be an upgrade.I still see SS- Nick Emmanwori (South Carolina) as the perfect RD1 addition to the Texans. He’d be an instant impact player on this defense. The Texans defensive backfield could shade into the dominant Seahawks backfield of 2014 with the addition of this big, fast, and p, . ysical player.
But, Texans win today has dropped them too far back in the draft to see NE fall to them. WR could be the priority later in the draft.

I'll bet you one of those 4 will be on the board. Which one do you hope is there at 1-25?I think Texans are expected to be picking at 25 after the win. A lot of our discussed targets could be off the board.
Ratlege is a really good player, who's had some injury issues. Powerful dude, but I'm not sure he's a good fit in a ZBS. I also like UGA LG Dylan Fairchild.I expect Tyler Warren to be gone by our pick. There will be a one of the top 3 OT and hopefully Booker will be there. I like Tate Ratledge from Geogia in 2nd if Booker is gone. I’ve seen some mocks indicating Texans taking Landon Jackson DE Arkansas
Give me these guys if the draft was to fall like this. Here is an interesting draft. I would take Tre Harris over the Ohio State wide receiver despite of the connection with Stroud.
I have same view of Ratledge.Ratlege is a really good player, who's had some injury issues. Powerful dude, but I'm not sure he's a good fit in a ZBS. I also like UGA LG Dylan Fairchild.
I love Barron! If we decide that none of the offensive players on the board in round 1 are guys that we want, I’d totally be on board. Having Barron, Stingley, Lassiter, Bullock, and Pitre in our secondary would be SICK!!!Very detailed evaluation of Texas corner/safety Jahdae Barron:

2025 NFL Draft Scouting Report: Texas CB Jahdae Barron
From now until the 2025 NFL Draft takes place, we hope to scout and create profiles for as many prospects as possible, examining their strengths, weaknesses, and what they can bring to an NFL franchise. These players could be potential top 10 picks, all the way down to Day 3 selections and...steelersdepot.com
Yes. He can play all DBs and slot LB. We know Nick likes some home boys. When I started following Barron, I thought we would have Diggs and Dell; then Schultz acted like a TE so I was hoping to go defense high in draft.I love Barron! I think we will go WR or OL in the 1st, but if we don’t I want Barron. Although I wouldn’t be surprised if he goes before our pick.Yes. He can play all DBs and slot LB. Josh Conerly is the only offensive lineman I would want in round one. If as I think, our current starters will be starting 2025 season, I think we will not see a offensive lineman in round one. Wide receiver as you say is our Prime need but we can get those late day two or early round three.I think we will go WR or OL in the 1st, but if we don’t I want Barron. Doubtful Barron falls to 1-25. Depending on how you view Hunter and Revel, Barron is the best and most versatile DB in this draft. I'm not high on Johnson.Yes. He can play all DBs and slot LB. We know Nick likes some home boys. When I started following Barron, I thought we would have Diggs and Dell; then Schultz acted like a TE so I was hoping to go defense high in draft.
Golden has moved up into the 2nd based on his play this yr, the Combine will be big for him. You might be able to trade up into the 2nd for Golden and draft Fannin. It's possible Bond could drop to the 3rd, but it's doubtful that he falls to the bottom of the 3rd.Josh Conerly is the only offensive lineman I would want in round one. If as I think, our current starters will be starting 2025 season, I think we will not see a offensive lineman in round one. What about 1st Barron 2nd Tre Harris 3rd Matthew Golden? As I think our defense is pretty well set starter-wise, I would probably go with Harris round 1 then Fannin round two and Golden round three. I'm still looking at Grant for a future tackle.
The next couple of months, players will be up and down like an elevator.
You would play Barron at S and move him to CB when injuries hit. That would give the Texans the best young ballhawking secondary in the NFL. That's not a bad thing to have and Barron would be excellent value at 1-25.Another thought on Barron, he would probably not beat out Lassiter at corner and would be a solid backup. Same with beating out Petrie. Thinking like that, why would we not go for a safety and cornerback later? I could see us trading down round one and round two to pick up extra round threes as I have mentioned before. Lot of good players there.
Georgia corner Daylen Everette 6'1 190 58 tackles 3 INTs 2 forced fumbles surely has Demeco attention. Texas' Mukuba could be future replacement for Ward.
You and I see these things the same way. Again, I think Ward would start over Jahdae Barron and he would be expensive as a backup in round 1 at any position. Still, I might pick him in first. You would play Barron at S and move him to CB when injuries hit. That would give the Texans the best young ballhawking secondary in the NFL. On another note, Fannin looks like a matchup nightmare. I look at him as a versatile TE but I think he would make an awesome slot WR. You can never pass on a weapon like Fannin. It would be a great draft if they could come out of this draft with Savion Williams, Fannin, Dylan Fairchild or one of the OL I listed above.
I like drafting 2 WR since we’ve had bad luck with injuries. Plus Hutch and Metchie haven’t been able to show that they can handle moving up the depth chart. I have at least 10 guys that I really like in the draft that could challenge them. You and I see these things the same way. I want two WR and Fannin if possible. I don't think most teams are going to want a tight end like Fannin which would be to the Texans benefit.
Just my prediction but I don't see drafting a offensive lineman who will not replace LG Howard before his contract is up.I like drafting 2 WR since we’ve had bad luck with injuries. Plus Hutch and Metchie haven’t been able to show that they can handle moving up the depth chart. I have at least 10 guys that I really like in the draft that could challenge them.
As for Barron, I can see him taking over Ward’s starting spot. For me it’s drafting with foresight.
@badboy I like Conerly, but iOL is our more pressing need. I can see is taking Membou and playing him inside. He’s getting a lot of traction in the scouting community.
@steelbtexan I also like Fannin. I’m looking forward to see how he performs at the Senior bowl. A day 3 TE that could be an option (but not as a blocker) is Elijah Arroyo from Miami. That guy has some speed.
So you think that they will keep Howard at G for the rest of his contract?Just my prediction but I don't see drafting a offensive lineman who will not replace LG Howard before his contract is up.
As it is harder to replace a left tackle, I would go Conerly before drafting a guard. Part of my decisions are based upon what I think Houston will do and not what I want them to do.
IF. .. he continues to adjust and improve AND Fisher can maintain his growth. So you think that they will keep Howard at G for the rest of his contract?
Well this prediction just got blown into the nether regions; back to my previous mandate of post June cut or trade.Just my prediction but I don't see drafting a offensive lineman who will not replace LG Howard before his contract is up.
