I'm sure he will create an auction. And I'm confident the Texans will be bidding.I agree they will move the pick if they can. I don't know the GM there but surely he won't overprice the pick ala RS
I’d much rather Cal push for Bijan than Young.I keep looking at all the Big Boards and guess who's name keeps showing up in the top 5 ? Bijan and he is rated as have receiving hands as good as any of the receivers in this draft and yes he is the best running back in this draft. I believe the can disrupting any defense by making them move LB's and safeties like dropped skittles. Take him at 1.2
That idea has appeal as it would be like two birds with one stone - a top RB and WR rolled into one. Same thing with Michael Mayer - you get the best blocking TE in the draft plus a possession receiver who can also run routes in behind the DLine.I’d much rather Cal push for Bijan than Young.
It wouldn't hurt my feelings at all if the 1st three picks wereThat idea has appeal as it would be like two birds with one stone - a top RB and WR rolled into one. It could happen if they trade out of the #2 for two first round picks.

Him, Bijan and Anderson. If there's a can't miss prospect in this draft it's Mayer.
Someone is trading up with the Bears. They have no intention staying at #1.
Why were the Bears so eager to tank in week 18? It wasn't because they were dreaming of taking a pass rusher #1 overall. I don't know everything. Like, I can't tell you why Pete Davidson pulls so many smoking hot babes. I don't understand this. I just know Da Bears are moving the pick.

I think I'll change my #12 pick from Hyatt to Mayer, but I'd sure want to know the new OC would use him properly. I'd seriously consider trading back up into the first with the 33rd pick to get Hyatt, if the opportunity was there, or if Hyatt is gone, Bijan. If there's a can't miss prospect in this draft it's Mayer.
"hey Sting? I am gonna run you ragged in practice!"

I am a huge Bijan fan and review many mocks and big boards daily. I've found only one that had Bijan ranked that high.. Drafttek and Feb 5th dropped him from 5 to 9. Interestingly they have him going to GBay at 15. If Caserio takes him at 2, I and I imagine thousands of others will protest.I keep looking at all the Big Boards and guess who's name keeps showing up in the top 5 ? Seattle for pick 2 then trade 5 for 9 so Panthers get a QB.I’m really beginning to think RD2 and RD3 are going to be the money rounds of the 2023 NFL Draft. The Texans only have 3 picks in those two rounds. I certainly wouldn’t be against landing another 4,5 or 6 picks in those two rounds while picking up a couple more RD1 or RD2 picks in the 2024 NFL Draft. I wouldn’t mind moving Cooks if he returns an additional RD2 or RD3 pick.
Still looks good, but I'm waiting to see who our OC and qb coach is; and how Young measures and performs at the combine.Seattle for pick 2 then trade 5 for 9 so Panthers get a QB.
Surely Kingsbury would rather go back to the college game. The fact Kingsbury has not been signed means Texans first choice for OC is either Steichen or Johnson. Kingsbury would be a good signing as qb coach

My understanding is that Kingsbury's contract requires him to "job search". I don't know if he can turn down a job if offered.

If it goes like this and Young is 6'0"/210 lbs, the table tilts to drafting Young. Then maybe try and trade down at 12?
He wouldn't agree to interview if there wasn't interest. Probably OC.Surely Kingsbury would rather go back to the college game.
I can see taking a step back, being an NFL coordinator. He wouldn't agree to interview if there wasn't interest. Probably OC.
The question is, would he be interested in qb coach? He's worked with 4 pretty good qbs, including Mayfield, and has rep as a qb whisperer. Just maybe he'd be interested.
Pieces may start falling into place as early as Monday.I can see taking a step back, being an NFL coordinator.
I can’t see him taking two steps back to position coach.
Surely there is HC positions available for him at the college level.
Usually, WR's and TE's are hit by smaller CB's and Safeties, and sometimes LB's. QB's are usually hit by DL's, DE's, and LB's.WRs and TEs usually unprotected when hit also.

Haven't we been through the Rick Dennison experience?I'm thinking Ryans wants to talk/ interview Johnson for OC. I'm still hoping for the Slowik/Klint Kubiak/Jerrod Johnson/Rick Dennison quartet to be leading the offense.
Thankfully Dennison will NOT be part of the staffHaven't we been through the Rick Dennison experience?
He’s pretty dang good, but TE- Brock Bowers (Georgia) appears to be one of those truly special TE’s that only come along once in a while. Good thing the Texans have the draft capital to land this guy in RD1 of the 2024 draft.
Could anyone justify having both Meyers and Bowers?

That's a flawed tweet.

So the original tweet contained technically correct, but ultimately unhelpful information.I started to like this but then I took another look at it...
And then took ANOTHER look at it.
There have been lots of QBs drafted in the top three who've won SBs, but the operative expression there is BY THE TEAM THAT DRAFTED THEM.
Stafford, drafted by the Lions, won for the Rams
Peyton Manning, drafted by the Colts, won for the Colts and Broncos
Eli Manning, drafted by the Chargers, won for the Giants
John Elway, drafted by the COLTS, won for the Broncos
Troy Aikman, drafted by the Cowboys, won for the Cowboys
Steve Young, drafted by the Buccs, won for the Niners
Jim Plunkett, drafted by Pats, won for the Raiders
Terry Bradshaw, drafted by the Steelers, won for the Steelers
Earl Morral, drafted by the Niners, won for the Colts
Joe Namath, drafted by Jets and Cardinals (before merger), won for the Jets
I liked one year of it, certainly not the end.Did you not like the experience?

e Derek Carr saga took an interesting turn on Super Bowl Sunday. According to Ian Rapaport, Carr, who has a no-trade clause in his contract, informed the Raiders that he won’t accept a trade. Period.
The development in effect means that the Raiders will be forced to release Carr, and that Carr will become a free agent. That also means the market for Carr can open up further.
Carr was very close to becoming the next Saints QB, per multiple reports. New Orleans and Las Vegas had the framework for a Carr trade in place, before Carr said no. Now, teams who didn’t necessarily want to trade away valuable assets to acquire Carr could be pulled into negotiations, since now it will only cost money to make Carr any team’s next quarterback. Hypothetically speaking, if the Texans or Colts decide to go with Carr, that would impact the trade market for the Bears’ No. 1 pick in the draft. On the other hand, a team like the Saints who were interested in trading for Carr could instead turn their attention to the Bears’ top pick, if they end up missing out on Carr.
Derek Carr is doing to the Raiders what the Raiders did to him. Karma can be a beyotch.
Completely agree and why would he want team he is going to to lose any draft pick? I just hope he goes to a high drafting team needing a QB.Derek Carr is doing to the Raiders what the Raiders did to him. Karma can be a beyotch.

Depending on the $ I would not flee from my lap top.I’m not gonna lie, I like the idea of Carr…and like somebody once said, give him #8 and everyone who has the old Carr jerseys can break ‘em out and get some use out of them. Win win all the way around!![]()
He could still go to New Orleans but it will be on his terms, not Mcdaniels'.Completely agree and why would he want team he is going to to lose any draft pick? I just hope he goes to a high drafting team needing a QB.
I still have my Carr jersey, and even have a #8 Carr hat. I'd be happy to make use of it again. I never really got to wear the hat much when I got it.I’m not gonna lie, I like the idea of Carr…and like somebody once said, give him #8 and everyone who has the old Carr jerseys can break ‘em out and get some use out of them.
