Shirley Casserio will not be hoodwinked into trading for the #1 spot
#2 Highest rated player with a serious injury history
#12 a lineman who can't block
The lineman should also be proficient at false starts.#2 Highest rated player with a serious injury history
#12 a lineman who can't block
Please respond with your fantasy of what will be done over harsh reality.
Don’t forget the WRs later in the draft that fell because of injuries. Caserio would sure love to trade up to get one.#2 Highest rated player with a serious injury history
#12 a lineman who can't block
This.#2 Young - I think young will be there, it’s Stroud who I was hoping for and believe will be the number 1 pick (once he declares)
#12 best available WR
That's what I'm saying.
You don't think Seattle needs a QB? Do you think they're content with Geno Smith? If both the Broncos & Cardinals lose, the Colts remain @ #5. The Colts are the team with the highest draft spot combined with the need for a QB. The question is, do the Bears want to drop that far in a trade down from #1? The Seahawks, who own the Broncos 1st, and the Cards will be looking at the top two defenders (Anderson & Carter). I can see 3 scenarios play out:
1. Bears decide to not risk missing on their guy, and take Anderson or Carter #1.
2. Bears swing a deal with the Colts and move down to #5, then take Texas Tech's Tyree Wilson.
3. Bears blackmail Texans into trading up to #1, and still get their guy at #2.
If this is the case, the Texans still have a 66% chance at Bryce Young.
What Lance doesn't seem to understand is that Desperate Teams, with a desperate need at QB, will do desperate things. Osweiler? Osweiler anyone? $230MM FULLY GTD? Anyone?
I honestly had forgotten about Oswweiler. Damn you Texian. What Lance doesn't seem to understand is that Desperate Teams, with a desperate need at QB, will do desperate things. Osweiler? Osweiler anyone? $230MM FULLY GTD? Anyone?
Really? What Lance doesn't seem to understand is that Desperate Teams, with a desperate need at QB, will do desperate things. Osweiler? Osweiler anyone? $230MM FULLY GTD? Anyone?
Surely you jest. It sounds just like something he would do.Shirley Casserio will not be hoodwinked into trading for the #1 spot
I don't think Lance has taken into account how desperate teams behave and what they will do. All it takes is one team and like almost every year that one team is out there.Really?
Now Lance Zierline (sp) doesn't know how this works?
Even though this comes up every year. Lance did not consider it. But you did.I don't think Lance has taken into account how desperate teams behave and what they will do. All it takes is one team and like almost every year that one team is out there.
So? You just lived thru it last year in a major desperation move. What's your point? Thick skull?Even though this comes up every year. Lance did not consider it. But you did.
Fixed.I am calling it now, Young will be the third QB drafted, Stroud will go first and The Texans will take a flyer on Levis. Bookmark this post.
I think Lance understands what he's talking about. I happen to have the same opinion. & I've considered that some people are going to fall in love with a prospect. So? You just lived thru it last year in a major desperation move. What's your point? Thick skull?
Caserio will be hoodwinked into trading our 2 to the Bears for Justin Fields.Shirley Casserio will not be hoodwinked into trading for the #1 spot
Make no mistake, there will be 3 or 4 handfuls of teams that will take Young off their board for all the size reasons being discussed. Then there will be 4 or 5 handfuls of teams who will not. Then there will be 2 or 3 teams who would've him at the top of their board.I think Lance understands what he's talking about. I happen to have the same opinion. & I've considered that some people are going to fall in love with a prospect.
I doubt any team in the top 10 will consider drafting Bryce Young. I doubt any team is going to trade up into the top 10 to draft Young. He's going to go later than 12 imo if the Texans don't take him at 12, but I don't think the Texans are interested in a QB. But 12 would also be a "good" spot for Levis.
Charity dude. Charity.
Whoopee, another backyard BBQ with all the assistant coaches playing Wheel of Fortune type of draft. It all depends on who's the HC for next season. Until we know that for sure, we don't know the direction the Texans are (will be) headed in, which determines the draft. If it's Lovie, god help us all and call in the ambulances.
#1... I mean #2 in 2024 here we come!#2 pick trade for 5 round two picks
# 12 pick trade for 6 round three picks
Start an all rookie line with Mills leading them with Pep's great play calling.
IfCaserio has a QB he loves I hope he moves up and gets him. What did the 49ers give up to move up and get Lance? If Caserio doesn't move up I sure hope he doesn't pick a QB at 1-2 if he doesn't love the guy. Just pick the bpa and bring in a vet QB if there's not a guy he loves.Surely you jest. It sounds just like something he would do.
The problem here is Caserio doesn't know diddly squat about any stinking QBs.IfCaserio has a QB he loves I hope he moves up and gets him. What did the 49ers give up to move up and get Lance? I wouldn't be upset with this.#1... I mean #2 in 2024 here we come!
I almost dared to dream.![]()
IYOThe problem here is Caserio doesn't know diddly squat about any stinking QBs.
To be honest... I don't care much about what happens until I hear the magical words "Lovie is gone"I wouldn't be upset with this.
Agreed, I hope Gannon is the next HC and he brings Reich and Zimmer with him. Reich and Johnson would be very good to mentor the new QB.To be honest... I don't care much about what happens until I hear the magical words "Lovie is gone"
If Lovie remains, I won't be upset if it happens again in 2024.... rather I will expect it.
I'll be real happy with Levis if QB is the direction we're going in.I am calling it now, Young will be the third QB drafted, Stroud will go first and someone will take a flyer on Levis. Bookmark this post.
Might as well keep Mills if that’s the direction.I'll be real happy with Levis if QB is the direction we're going in.
I'd be good with that too, but I think they're going to take a QB early.Might as well keep Mills if that’s the direction.
I'd be happy with a poptart, a bowl of fiber O's and "aged" milk over what he have now... but your list beats mine.Agreed, I hope Gannon is the next HC and he brings Reich and Zimmer with him. Reich and Johnson would be very good to mentor the new QB.
Man you eat good.I'd be happy with a poptart, a bowl of fiber O's and "aged" milk over what he have now... but your list beats mine.
It's going to be easier for the Bears to make a deal for the Colts pick @ #4.1.
Sure, but how are Carroll and Schneider going to look at it? Are they in a win now mode? Taking the d-lineman makes the most sense. Does the rebuild start now, and go with the rookie QB? If it were Bryce Young in play, I think they would go QB. I don't see them having conviction on Stroud or Levis. Taking Richardson with their 2nd 1st would let the Seahawks play it both ways. You don't think Seattle needs a QB? Do you think they're content with Geno Smith?
Rather than use the term "first QB under 200 lbs", insert "top rated QB in the draft". Then trading up for him will make a lot more sense.Really?
Now Lance Zierline (sp) doesn't know how this works?
I want to see what he does in the combine. A little weary of 'tools' prospects without the requisite college resume backing it up, but big upside with Levis. I wouldn't want him playing right away though - he's got to be developed right. The Texans are not a year away this team can afford to bring him along slowly.I'll be real happy with Levis if QB is the direction we're going in.
It's going to be easier for the Bears to make a deal for the Colts pick @ #4.
