After using their 2018 first round pick on the player that was supposed to be their LT (he was IRed in '18 of course) do you still think the Pats will franchise Brown ?
They won't put the tag on him, but will make every effort to re-sign

Wow, hey man you sayin big Dave is a better LT than Tyron Smith ?

For all practical purposes Brown has probably already hit FA as many teams, hopefully including the Texans, have had "informal" discussions with Browns agent so theyThey won't put the tag on him, but will make every effort to re-sign
I know that - my comment was of course tongue-in-cheek.That was PFF's grade for 1 game

already are learning what the market will bring for Brown and the Pats are not generally known for paying premium values.

I just saw WalterFootball Draft and they had the Texans taking LT, Cajuste with the 23rd pick. What made me take a double take......CB, Greedy Williams went later. I'm sorry, if Greedy Williams is still on the board along with Little, Cajuste, Risner, or Dillard, I'd be hard pressed to pass up the CB who many think is the best in the draft.
Heck, let me have Greedy Williams (LSU) and Isaiah Johnson (Houston) and I would be hard pressed not to think the Texans CB problems will have been solved for the next 4-5 years.
On the flip side, I don't see Cajuste, Risner, or Dillard being on the board at 23 in RD2. The team would have to have some amazing scouting to find a top OL late in RD2.
I'm right back to my dilemma, how to get a couple of extra picks to really plug some holes for the long-term without crapping out the cap in the process....rage and trade Clowney for a late RD1 and RD4 or a early RD2 and RD3. Having two extra picks in this draft could be the difference between a great draft and a spectacular draft.
If Williams falls you pick him and trade backup to and get Cajuste.
Cajuste not playing in the snow Sr Bowl pretty much assures he will be there at 23. Without his injury history he's as talented as any OT in this draft.
If Greedy falls to 15 I'm for trading up
Don't know if Cajuste is as talented as any

I'm for trading up for an OT because they need to protect Watson. I'm not for trading up for Williams. He's a good cb. But has not Peterson/Talib good. Top 15
He's Holton Hill good.
Josh Norman is rumored to be getting cut, would you sign him in fa? I think I might but would have to see how he would fit in n RAC"s defense.
Interesting.Speaking of Brown and our LT need..

Interesting.
Someone mentioned JD was not that bad in the latter stages of the season.
I hope something clicked for him and he continues to improve.
Those stats surely can't be false...Those feet aren't improving

He still has room and time for improvement. He was going against a lesser DE
Classic example of measurable over football player. Texans need football players, especially on the OL.

Hyatt = football player
I didn't see this at all with Little. He was very good in pass pro and a wall off blocker in the run game. How many passes did Ole Miss throw last yr and how many sacks did Little give up? If the Texans signed Trent Brown and Little was there at 23 I would still pick him and have my bookend OT's for yrs to come.
If I take nothing else from that article - codswallop.
Is that a New England thing![]()
I thought it was an Aussie thing.British slang. Beer testicles, i.e. nonsense.
What sites do you use/trust for prospect evaluations, positional rankings, big boards etc...? I used to use CBSSports (among others), they listed tons of prospects by position and gave player evaluations, productivity history, injuries, and NFL opinions, but now they've got very little info. and very few players listed and their site is junk. Any idea what's happened to CBS? So who do you guys use and trust?
I'm on my phone and it doesn't show post #'s. Can you link please? Or quote?Check out post #128.
