WOW Texans draft room was telling, Rick Smith and Cal yucking it up and O'Brien stone faced staring at his phone.

Well, this is pretty damn exciting.

My biggest gripe with the Texans (not drafting a QB in the first 3 rounds) has finally been addressed. Whether he works out or not, I'll never be mad at my team for trying.

We can't afford to keep waiting for a QB. We have a nice RB. We have some nice WRs. We have a top 5 defense. The OL needs some work, but we now have a QB with mobility.

Deshaun Watson is going to have a HUGE chip on his shoulders. After being the best QB in college for 2 years straight, he was passed over by a guy with on year starting and another with a losing record. Use it as fuel, Deshaun and make the doubters pay!
 
Well I guess the best way for Rick Smith not to eff up 2nd and 3rd picks is to not have any. Hopefully his streak of doing well in the first round continues with Watson.

I just hope the chip does not injure his shoulder...
 
Well all of you who wanted us to take a 1st rd QB should be giddy now.

I just hope this means Watson will leapfrog Savage.

I'm not a fan of using 1st rd picks for a guy to hold a clipboard.

glass half full: Watson is solid (doesn't have to be great to win) our next two picks bring starting RT and another high quality guy.

2.57 Meliwonfu safety or Dion Dawkins RT or Tim Williams OLB or Jordan Willis OLB

3.89 Witherspoon CB (KJ to safety) or Derek Rivers OLB or LT Antonio Garcia or DE DeMarcus Walker or QB Nathan Peterman or LT/RT Julie'n Davenport.

This could still work out very well..

the only way Watson is holding clip board is if Savage is doing well and that is a good scenario.
 
Conley goes #24 to the Raiders. I guess they feel pretty good about the outcome of the rape allegation. Supposedly, Conley passed a polygraph. I hate to pass judgement on a possible victim, but the story seemed fishy from the start.
 
McKinley was a little too fired up. Save some for the season opener.

Is Foster going to slip out of the 1st? Dalvin Cook? Some really good players could be available in the 2nd round.
