2015 NFL Draft

It's easy to project when all the facts keep lining up to support it. So sense he didn't build the strong running attack he shouldn't rely on it until he finds his QB?????? Sorry but you are making about as much sense as Seegara.
...nominated for the cheapest shot taken on this board since its inception—and that's saying a lot.

I know I shouldn't question New England - I mean, they have clearly been doing things well - but I just don't understand their drafting sometimes. Their 1st round pick seems like a great value, and no surprise that they traded back with one of their third round picks, but what's up with their 2nd and 3rd round picks?

Well, I would think "you are making about as much sense as Norg" would be the cheapest shot, but hey, if you think you made less sense than Norg I'm not going to argue with you.

Well since he said he wont sign a contract unless he is drafted before the 3rd round is over no reason to even list him.

Oh I didn't know he said that

edit: If he did, what's he gonna do? Nfl already denied his request to enter the supplemental draft. Does he think he can do better as a udfa?

Well thats a rap fellas. Enjoyed the back and forth, It was fun. I've ignored my grand babies too long they are getting restless. Here's to a better tomorrow!!!!:koolaid:

My understanding is that he said that assuming he would be able to enter the draft next year. But, he won't be allowed to enter the draft next year. I guess he'd be a free agent after the season, though.

But honestly what can he do about it? If a team drafts him in the 7th they have his rights till he signs or is traded. His best bet would be to just sign at that point and earn his money on his second contract.

He's basically doing this because he feels he's being cheated out of the prestige of being a high draft pick, and I think it's childish. I'd still rather play in the NFL

He said he will sit out a year then re enter the draft.

He's missing out on millions of dollars signing a late round rookie deal vs early round. If he gets drafted a team owns his rights until next year's draft. He can enter 2016 after clearing his name and get drafted in 1st/2nd. Making a lot more $

If he doesn't sign a contract and he sits out the whole year I believe he can re enter the draft.

I think if I were him, I'd hope to go undrafted and sign a 1 year deal with a team I wanted to play for and then get a monster contract after proving worth... provided he is confident about being cleared in the murder investigation

If he sits out a year how does he maintain his draft stock in order to get that high pick? Videos of him working out? Playing pickup flag football games?

I'm back...had to get moms from the airport. Looks like we made some moves! Wish y'all hadn't spoiled it.

No, my understanding is that this is only possible if he had college eligibility left. He doesn't and so he will not be allowed to enter next year's draft (again, that's what I understood from something I read, so I could be wrong). However, he would become a free agent at some point (not sure if it's after next season or when we get to the draft).

My top ten still left on the board:

1. OG La'el Collins, LSU - At this point it looks like his situation is serious enough that he won't be drafted.
2. RB Jay Ajayi, Boise St - His medical concerns are obviously legit or he would be off the board.
3. WR Rashad Greene, Florida St - Lacks measurables but plays better in pads.
4. DT Michael Bennett, Ohio St - Another guy who lacks measurables. Didn't have the college production that Greene did but is a decent enough athlete, just small.
5. OT T.J. Clemmings, Pittsburgh - I'm not super high on this guy to begin with, but he does have potential. He's being flagged for medicals as well.
6. S Cody Prewitt, Ole Miss - Productive college player who lacks flash and is good at everything but great at nothing.
7. QB Bryce Petty, Baylor - Significant project but the only QB left that I think has any potential at all to be a NFL starter.
8. DT Grady Jarrett, Clemson - Another undersized interior defender who's better in pads than shorts.
9. RB Jeremy Langford, Michigan St - Forgotten man in this RB class. Lacks size but was productive and tested well at the combine.
10. WR Tre McBride, William & Mary - Small school player who never got to show what he can do against top competition.

Along those same lines, how does a guy his size stay in "football" shape withou football for a full year?

Out of those you listed, I'd be real happy with either Greene or Clemmings. I like Prewitt a lot, but the addition of Moore has cooled me on adding another S now

Has Adrian Amos been selected yet? Real surprised if not, one of O'Briens studs from Penn State & damn good cover safety.

Today's the day that consistently good playoff teams shine. Also a day that these teams usually have the most draft picks. Like last year the Texans this year have traded away most of today's picks. Pattern of behavior?

When you say "most" do you mean three out of seven?

Redskins grab WR Crowder @105
Hardy is gone to ATL. Liked both.

Possum Holler grabs a FB top of the 4th.

I notice the Pats have 3 picks this round. They've already picked up Trey Flowers and Tre' Jackson, both of which are really good values at this point (most had Flowers in the top 100 and Jackson in the top 75).

keep counting...

We started with seven third day picks right? We have four left...

I know we picked up an extra 7th from the Browns then traded it away as well, so if you count that one, we've traded away four out of eight.

Does that constitute "most" in your world?

If it does, that's fine. Might explain your idea of "pattern" as well.

This is a great example of someone who gets it, someone who understands, is NOT an excuse maker.

Negative Ghost Rider, Texans have traded away their 4th, 5th and 6th RD picks.
