2015 free agents

At this time, the League office is beginning investigations into a number of reported agreements with clubs. Violations will be dealt with accordingly.
Something severe, I'm sure. Like 50 lashes with a wet noodle.

Rams have informed OT Jake Long and C Scott Wells of their release. Moves save the team about $12 million in salary-cap space.

Adam Schefter ‏@AdamSchefter
49ers free-agent G Mike Iupati has told people he plans to sign with the Arizona Cardinals, per sources. Iupati vs. SF DT Darnell Dockett.

Tim McManus @Tim_McManus
Eagles re-sign Brandon Graham to four-year deal: http://goo.gl/rbcmE9

Two sources close to Graham suggest he's returning to Eagles. 4 years, 6.5 million per, $14 million guaranteed.

Told by a friend of Frank Gore's that he was in tears last night. Obviously conflicted. Has been curious abt Colts, working w/ Luck for some time.

Was linked to Eagles.

Is Gore close to Andre? I know both went to the U at the same time. Maybe they want to go to Indy together?

What are the Jags doing? $32M for Parnell? $20M for Skuta? Signing Thomas for $2M more per year than Gronk?

I realize they have tons of cap room, but spending just to spend is never a wise business plan.

Have to hit cap floor and they are WAY under.

Loading up. AJ, Gore, Cole. Gonna be great for one year.

Maybe. McGobbler refuted the AJ on a plane to Indy Tweet, so who knows what's going on. I'd hate to see him go there, but I would if I were him

John McClain ‏@McClain_on_NFL 9m9 minutes ago

Andre Johnson may very well end up in Indy but I've been assured by 3 close to him that he's still working out in Miami this morning.

Welp

Adam Schefter ‏@AdamSchefter 6m6 minutes ago

And as @LanceZierlein also reported, Andre Johnson and Frank Gore scheduled to fly together from Miami to Indy on @JimIrsay's plane.

Albert Breer ‏@AlbertBreer
Devin McCourty. Source says Eagles were one of 3 teams willing to beat the $9.5M/year the safety got in New England.

Joel Corry ‏@corryjoel
Suh's $60M fully guaranteed at signing tops current mark of Calvin Johnson w/$53.25M fully GTD at signing (includes $4.5M 3/14/12 roster bonus).

Just a refresher for what is going on over the course of the next 40 minutes:

March 10 Prior to 4 p.m. ET, clubs must exercise options for 2015 on all players who have option clauses in their 2014 contracts

Prior to 4 p.m. ET, clubs must submit qualifying offers to their Restricted Free Agents with expiring contracts and to whom they desire to retain a Right of First Refusal/Compensation

Prior to 4 p.m. ET, clubs must submit a Minimum Salary Tender to retain exclusive negotiating rights to their players with expiring 2014 contracts and who have fewer than three accrued seasons of free agency credit

Top-51 Begins. All clubs must be under the 2015 salary cap prior to 4 p.m. ET

All 2014 player contracts expire at 4 p.m. ET

Ian Rapoport ‏@RapSheet
The #Saints have called around, open to shopping many of their players, source say. One notable player included: TE Jimmy Graham. For real.

Jay Glazer ‏@JayGlazer
The Saints and Seahawks are trying to finalize trade Jimmy Graham and a 4th rounder for Max Unger and Seattle first rounder

Done deal. Geez, didn't they just extend him last off season? Good grief

Jay Glazer ‏@JayGlazer 6m6 minutes ago

Saints and Seattle have now agreed on trade sending jimmy graham and a 4 to Seattle for max Unger and a 1st

Adam Schefter ‏@AdamSchefter
Here are terms of BALT-DET trade: Lions receive Haloti Ngata and 7th-round pick while Baltimore gets 4th- and 5th-round picks, per source.

The NFL looks like monkeys fornicating footballs on this. How the hell do you negotiate without making offers or discussing terms and conditions?

Just another way the NFL gets to choose who gets to be penalized and who won't be. NE has to have an early deal so this will just all go away. If they don't, expect the NFL to come down hard.

Ryan Bartow ‏@RyanBartow
The @Saints are opening up offers for Drew Brees. Third time is a charm @MiamiDolphins.

Rich Cimini ‏@RichCimini
The Jets are giving Buster Skrine a four-year, $25M deal, including $13M in guarantees, per source. Obviously, that's starter money. #nyj

NFL on ESPN ‏@ESPNNFL
Adam Schefter to Bill Polian on NFL LIVE: "Have you seen the start of a league year like this, Bill?

Polian: "No, never have."

I was only giving the new team cap hits for those interested in whether the Texans would try to trade for him.

The Saints will be eating $9 mil in dead money.

Damn, even with the savings that's a hell of a hit for a guy they just re-signed last year.

Don't forget that the Eagles traded Foles to St. Louis for Bradford

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

And WTF why?

I wouldn't make that trade straight up. Plus Bradford is due $12.985 mil v. $1.362.

Kelly is looking insane at this point.

According to Kimberley Martin of Newsday, the Giants have signed Cowboys special teams ace Dwayne Harris to a five-year, $17.5 million deal, which includes $7.1 million in guarantees.

From PFT.com

Speaking of WTF, that's a big contract for a special teams only guy.

Kelly is looking insane at this point.
I think he bought a 2nd round pick for one year of bad cap hit. *edit: it's a swap of picks, waiting to see

Mike Garafolo ‏@MikeGarafolo
Shane Vereen got $12.35 million over three years from the Giants. Strong $. Came up quickly over a few days.

Field Yates ‏@FieldYates
Source: the Dolphins have released OL Shelley Smith. He was due $2.75M in 2015.

Adam Schefter ‏@AdamSchefter
Panthers officially released RB DeAngelo Williams.

New York Jets @nyjets
We have released WR Percy Harvin- http://bit.ly/1ET86z9

Rick Stroud ‏@NFLSTROUD
Bucs release T Anthony Collins

Adam Schefter ‏@AdamSchefter
Bengals signing former Packers LB A.J. Hawk.

Ian Rapoport ‏@RapSheet
Team to watch for Percy Harvin: The New England #Patriots. I’m told there is a good chance that’s his spot.

Kevin Clark ‏@KevinClarkWSJ
The Raiders having to spend to the salary floor is LITERALLY the plot to "Brewster's Millions" and they are still screwing it up.

Albert Breer @AlbertBreer
Benefit of bringing in a DeMarco Murray for Jags or Raiders would be twofold. Helps solve minimum-spend issue. Takes heat off young QBs.

Jason La Canfora ‏@JasonLaCanfora
We'll see if any one else trumps that. Patriots had been in the mid-30s in terms of guaranteed money. KC has been in it as well.

Revis's reps have told teams they have $48M for 3yrs on the table now, with $40M guaranteed. My sense if that is from the Jets...
