What are the Jags doing? $32M for Parnell? $20M for Skuta? Signing Thomas for $2M more per year than Gronk?

I realize they have tons of cap room, but spending just to spend is never a wise business plan.

Prior to 4 p.m. ET, clubs must submit a Minimum Salary Tender to retain exclusive negotiating rights to their players with expiring 2014 contracts and who have fewer than three accrued seasons of free agency credit

Top-51 Begins. All clubs must be under the 2015 salary cap prior to 4 p.m. ET

All 2014 player contracts expire at 4 p.m. ET

Just another way the NFL gets to choose who gets to be penalized and who won't be. NE has to have an early deal so this will just all go away. If they don't, expect the NFL to come down hard.
