13 ( 189 ) Detroit Lions ( steelbtexan )

16 ( 192 ) Pittsburgh Steelers ( Rock N Randy )
17 ( 193 ) Kansas City Chiefs ( JCTexan )

The NY Giants select John Brown, Wide Receiver, Pittsburg State

Since they cut Rob Bironas, you have to expect that they'll try to take the first kicker off the board. I might could have waited a round but I didn't want anyone to sneak in ahead of me.

I think that's a solid move in the 6th round. Wouldn't even call it a reach.

lol, any kicker draft picks need to be addressed before they are called out. Good job beating the callout to the punch.

After seeing 5th round Randy Bullock suck so bad while frequently seeing 88% FG kickers just loafing around on the open market, I could never pull the trigger on a kicker ever again.

I'm here on min just checked in let me see who is on my board

Pittsburgh Steelers select ... Cody Latimer, WR, Indiana
Had a fantastic pro day and would have been among the best had he performed at the combine
Has good size and build at 6'2 215lbs

Steelers only have one WR that remains from the old regimen and that's Antonio Brown
Steelers need talent and depth at the position with a big size target in Bryant and now a versatile and sizeable threat in Latimer who compensate and grow in the receiving core since the loss of Wallace and Cotchery and Sanders

Very excited about this selection as his name has been bussing around now. Most likely will not go this low come May 8th

With the 193rd pick the Kansas City Chiefs select..

Andre Williams - RB - Boston College - ACC

Williams is thickly-built with terrific balance to pick up yards after contact, lowering his pads and driving forward for every yard he can get. Shows good build up speed and enough quickness to pick his way through the crowd. Was a workhorse for Boston College, to the tune of 2,177 yards last year.

19 ( 195 ) New York Jets ( steelbtexan ) ON THE CLOCK: 6:30pm - 8:30am
20 ( 196 ) Arizona Cardinals ( kiwitexansfan )
21 ( 197 ) Green Bay Packers ( mussop )
22 ( 198 ) New England Patriots ( WolverineFan )

What are people's thoughts on Stinson.

Been looking at him as a 3-4 end to compete with Crick.

I think that's probably the best place for him. He's strong and anchors well. Better against the run, not a pass-rushing threat.

I'm surprised he went this late. I've had him on my radar for awhile but had some other things I needed to take care of.

3 players have gone In the last few picks that weren't on my board but should of been. I hate trying to keep up with **** on the phone. Have been working crazy hours. He'll I'm still at work. Been here since 5:30am.

With the 195th pick of the TT Mock draft the NY Jets select Vinny Sunseri SS Alabama SEC.

Sunseri is ready for training camp. Aaron Murray said Alabama had the best S tandem he faced all yr.

Rex gets his new Jim Leonhard. This pick was in keeping with my taking injured but talented players late in the draft.

Good pick. This is a great spot for him.

With the 20th pick in Round Six of the 2014 NFL draft the Arizona Cardinals select....

Joe Don Duncan - TE - Dixie State - Great Northwest Athletic Conference

7a94a44860aa48b1e8e8eee3a767d626.jpeg

Was prolific at the FCS level as a featured receiver.

Has good catch radius and shows a willingness in the run game.

Tested really strong at the Combine and has a stout frame that bodes well as a blocker.

Has versatility to perhaps spend time as an H-Back or FB in the right scheme.

Arizona Cardinals Draft so far:

Rd 1: Kyle van Noy OLB
Rd 2: Jimmie Ward SS
Rd 3: Ed Reynolds FS
Rd 4: Aaron Murray QB
Rd 5: John Halapio G
Rd 6: Joe Don Duncan TE

The New England Patriots select...

Ethan Westbrooks - DE - West Texas A&M - Div. 2

Ethan.jpg

The Pats need to bolster their pass rush up front and could look to add a high upside project like Westbrooks. He has a solid frame at 6-3, 267 and has some room to add weight. He has long arms to handle the edge, but can also move inside on passing downs. Is very raw technically and has relied on athleticism thus far, but he has tools to work with and could be a great pro if developed.

He led Division II in TFL (28.0) and Sacks (19.5) as a junior and was named a First Team D2 All-American and the Division II National Defensive Player of the Year. His numbers dipped as a senior, 19.5 TFL and 7.0 Sacks, but the talent is obvious. He was named Defensive Most Valuable Player at the East-West Shrine Game after recording 2 sacks in the game. He really reminds me of Michael Bennett.

23 ( 199 ) Cincinnati Bengals ( NCTexan ) ON THE CLOCK: 9:15am - 1:15pm
24 ( 200 ) Kansas City Chiefs ( JCTexan )
25 ( 201 ) San Diego Chargers ( Texan4Ever ) PM'ed
26 ( 202 ) New Orleans Saints ( coon )
27 ( 203 ) Indianapolis Colts ( Texian )
28 ( 204 ) Carolina Panthers ( bah007 )

23 (199) Cincinnati Bengals - ON THE CLOCK

The Bengals select Laurent Duvernay-Tardif, McGill (Canada).

He's an intriguing prospect, and in my opinion he's an absolute steal at this point in the draft. Bengals are looking for a LT replacement in the future and he could be it, sooner rather than later. He's a bit light in the weight department, but think a NFL S&C program will change that.

* bench-pressed 34 reps of 225 pounds. Only six of 50 offensive linemen benched more at the NFL scouting combine last month in Indianapolis;
* twice had a vertical leap of 31.5 inches. Only two O-linemen at the combine leaped higher;
* was mad he ran the three-cone ‘L’ drill in 7.3 seconds, even though no O-lineman at the combine ran it in under 7.3;
* ran the 40-yard dash, depending on whose stop watch you gauged, in anywhere from 4.94 and 5.08 seconds. Only five OLs at the combine posted sub-5.0 official times in the 40;
* leaped nine and a half feet in the broad jump -- his personal best by five inches. Only Michigan’s Taylor Lewan -- a likely Top 15 overall pick -- jumped farther at the combine;
* ran the short shuttle in 4.59 seconds. Only 10 OLs did it faster at the combine.

With the 200th pick the Kansas City Chiefs select..

Nat Berhe - SS - San Diego State - MWC

Good awareness. Reads the quarterback and steps towards the plays as it unfolds. Light feet and fluid hips allowing him to change directions quickly showing natural coverage skills. Breaks on the ball well. Avoids blockers, showing good flexibility to slip past them and make physical tackles in the open field.

That concludes the Chiefs draft.

1.23: Marqise Lee - WR - USC

Alex Smith is a classic game-manager who needs complementary playmakers around him to be at his best. Marqise Lee has explosive straight-line speed, is savvy as a route-runner and should give the Chiefs a solid #2 WR opposite Dwayne Bowe.

3.87: Dakota Dozier - OG - Furman

Dozier exhibits light feet, a fluid kick-slide, and is a natural bender. Gets good arm extension to keep defenders out of his chest, and utilizes his lower half well to establish leverage on contact and absorb the power rush.. The Chiefs have a huge need at both Guard spots and Dozier is the top OG available here.

4.124: Justin Ellis - DT - Louisiana Tech

Sitting at a squatty 6'1", 350 lbs, Ellis looks every single pound of that on tape. He looks like Vince Wilfork against La Tech's lesser competition: constant push in the passing game and absolute domination between the tackles. He looked outstanding at the East/West game, as well. Ellis has definite starter potential, and if the Chiefs were serious about either giving Poe a blow, or moving him to DE, Ellis is definitely worth a look if he lasts to this pick..

5.163: Ross Cockrell - CB – Duke

Cockrell is much more physical than he looks. He has a lean, wiry build but doesn't shy from getting physical at the line of scrimmage, wasting little time in pursuit or attacking blocks. His awareness is an asset as Cockrell locates the ball and shows burst to close. Characterized as a coach on the field. He possesses quick hands and good timing to rip at the ball as it arrives, as indicated by the number of passes he's broken up (53) and intercepted (12) over his career.

6.193: Andre Williams - RB - Boston College

Williams is thickly-built with terrific balance to pick up yards after contact, lowering his pads and driving forward for every yard he can get. Shows good build up speed and enough quickness to pick his way through the crowd. Was a workhorse for Boston College, to the tune of 2,177 yards last year.

If it were not for you there would be no draft at all. Or at least it would have become a dead ship in the ocean. Keep up the good work, with your efforts we may see the end.

Thank you sir, I appreciate the kind words. I really want to finish the mock, which is why I have maintained my vigilance thus far. It has gotten more difficult the further we have proceeded though.

WolverineFan will go down as a legend in mock-draft lore across the internet. Word of his exploits will grow and morph until he is viewed as a myth. Few dedicated pilgrims, who have done months, nay years, of research, will make the trek to the TT Mock Draft Section with hopes of catching a glimpse of the mock-draft legend and confirming that maybe, just maybe, there is hope for a mock-draft to go as smoothly as the 2014 Texans Talk Mock Draft.

Good stuff, obviously I don't know the guy, but there is something to say for always giving freak athleticism a shot. I hope he works out. Go Canada.

With 203rd pick in the 2014 NFL Draft, the Indianapolis Colts select: Prince Shembo, ILB, 6031, 253, Notre Dame.

He's relatively new on my radar too. I have to admit I haven't watched him at all and I'm purely going off what I've read in the past few days. I figure in the 6th is a safe place to give freak athleticism that shot. In my mind watching his tape would probably only raise him, but I could be wrong there.
