2014 Texans Talk Mock Draft SELECTION

Proxy pick for bah007 via PM.

Carolina Panthers select....

Donte Moncrief - WR - Ole Miss - SEC

I will let bah007 explain his selection when he gets back.

With the 29th pick in the draft the New England Patriots select......

Timmy Jerningan - DT - Florida State - ACC

The Pats really need to address an aging DT position. Even more so with Vince Wilfork requesting a release after being approached about a pay cut. I was originally targeting Louis Nix with this pick, as I think he is extremely similar to Wilfork. I'll settle for Jernigan though. He can man the NT position in NE's 43 defense with ease.

With the 30th pick in the draft the San Francisco 49ers select...

Stephon Tuitt - DE - Notre Dame - Independent

Justin Smith is not getting any younger and I see this as the perfect opportunity to find his successor. The 49ers have great talent and depth across their roster so they can afford to make luxury picks such as this. Tuitt is a perfect fit as a DE in SF's 34 scheme and offers more pass rush ability than your average 5' tech end. I see SF as a perfect fit for him and he makes the 49ers defense that much more deadly.

I also have Blake's pick via PM but he was just on so not sure if I should post it.

If he PMed it, I doubt he would care. He could be on way home from work or something.

I'm getting excited for the Texans pick. Jernigan and Tuitt were guys I would have been really happy for the Texans to get.

The Denver Broncos are tired of getting run on like a bank during the great depression.

Ra'Shede Hageman - DL - Minnesota

A beast at 6'6" 310, Hageman can help at any position on the line.

On the Clock:

32(32) Seattle Seahawks (Bah007)

Next up:

01(33) Houston Texans (TexansFTW)
02(34) Washington Redskins (kiwitexansfan)
03(35) Cleveland Browns (Dutchrudder)
04(36) Oakland Raiders (MistaRed)

Why are Benjamin, Lawrence, Roby, Adams and Cooks still available?

Benjamin makes a fair amount of drops, doesn't have a lot of experience as a WR.

I don't know who you mean by Lawrence.

Bradley Roby has some personal red flags for character.

Davante Adams played for Fresno State, so that might have something to do with him not being rated as high.

Brandin Cooks was picked earlier.

Why are Benjamin, Lawrence, Roby, Adams and Cooks still available?

Only 32 teams and each GM has a different approach. There were 5 WR's taken 1st round so that might explain Benjamin, Cooks, and Adams. Roby has some off the field concerns and Lawrence is hardly a consensus 1st rounder.

Would you have taken Brandin Cooks over Odell Beckham for the Browns?

Nah, I like Beckham more, he's a lot like Sammy Watkins IMO. I just might have taken another position instead. But it's all good, I'd rather have Bortles and Beckham, than Watkins and Garapolo anyways.

Awww **** just saw this...

Bengals not matching Browns offer sheet for Wr Andrew Hawkins. He's a Brown.

I guess Hawkins can be the #2! lol...
