Terrence Taylor, DT, Michigan

Hell Yeah (Go Blue!)

I like this player a lot as many of you might notice how Iv'e vouched for him in the early rounds. The reason being is that for the last few years, Michigan has had a solid D-line and adding Taylor gives us someone who can stop the run on 3rd and 1 or 4th and Inches. A bit undersized, he remnids me of Kelly Gregg from the Ravens who is the same bulk and size as Taylor.

Great pick IMO...well keep our DTs fresh on plays and give us felxibilty in substituting players in and out.

Either Emanuel Cook or Chip Vaughn would of been my choice for us. Either would be an absolute steal in the fourth round IMO. I wathced Taylor play a few times really focusing on him and came away unimpressed. Hes nothing special and I doubt he is ever more than an end of the rotation player who only sees playing time if someone gets hurt. He doesnt even add anything in the way of special teams.

Alright - time's up for San Diego.

Let's make a group pick.

Picks so far:
Knowshon Moreno, RB
(no second-round pick)
Kyle Moore, DE

I went to the Cards board to see fans thinking on what they think they need in later rounds. Was no help at all.
They are doing a member draft. Made the first pick on March 2. Today they just picked for the Texans. The guy took Wells.
We started our draft a week later and are almost half way through the 4th round.
This draft is being run better and has more serious people putting in the time to take part in it.
Good job everybody!

I'll 3rd the Cody Brown, UConn choice.

They need depth at the position. Will Merriman be ready? Other than Merriman and Phillips they've got nada.

With the 109th pick in the 2009 NFL draft... the San Diego Chargers select... Cody Brown, OLB, Connecticut.

The Denver Broncos are on the clock.

Then what do you do to address the huge hole in the middle of our defense? Especially with the LB's being taken out by TJ flying into their knees. I didn't think he would last and wanted a stump at the 3-tech. for rushing downs. I want my top-notch lb's flying around the field. Cb and S can wait, so can rb. I still need to address OG too.

I don't know if I would have drafted TT if I would have known we were going to sign Cody. I still like picking him up in the 4th, but I think it would have changed my view on things a little.

I know the Jets have other needs but whoever the Jets QB is this year is going to like the beefed up WR corps.

I took value over need

With the 111th pick in the NFL DRAFT the NY Jets select Louis Murphy WR Florida

Murphy was the highest rated player on my board.

Sorry about the screw up.

With the 114th pick, the Saints take

Zack Follett, OLB.

The hope is that McRath will be able to take the Weak side and Follett, the Strong side, with Vilma in the middle.

The Bears select Jason Watkins OT Florida.
A bit raw, only starting two years in college, but has started at both left and right tackle. Could project as a starting left tackle in time. Will be used on the right side first.

I know they need help at corner and at receiver.

CB DeAngelo Smith, WR Mohamed Massaquoi, WR Aaron Kelly. S Emanual Cook is there.

edit: Looks like they already got their corner so I would look at a receiver or a running back.

RBs left:

James Davis
Glen Coffee
Javon Ringer
Jeremiah Johnson
Cedric Peerma
Quinn Johnson

WRs:

Brandon Tate
Mohamed Massaquoi
Aaron Kelly
Kevin Ogletree
Kenny McKinley
Quan Cosby
