2007 NFL Draft Day One Thread

Nice pick Browns! That just increased our chances of getting Peterson. If the Cards pass on Peterson too, then I truly think we will be able to get him. IMO, the other teams that pick in front of the Texans don't have RB that high on their needs. But I guess we'll just see. idonno:

No! Please GOD, NO! I hope a team before us takes Peterson, though, because I don't want that temptation around at 10. I'd like a back who can get on the field every now and then, thank you.

Take Peterson right now Arizona . . please!

My guess is that Arizona will take Landry unless they trade their pick. Still don't think there's any real chance that Peterson will fall to us.

Those dumb talking heads actually think the Cards should take Levi Brown. I mean I like Levi and all, but not at 4. Sheesh!

The longer Arizona takes to decide, the more likely we'll see them trading down.

maybe thats the case but teams always seem to take their time selecting players, even though they've had over 4 months to assess prospects and think of potential scenarios.

does 10 more minutes really make that much of a difference? :um:

** too late, my post was a couple minutes late...

Wow. First reach of the day.

Now we see if Miami wants Quinn badly enough to jump over the Vikings.

Somehow Peterson is still on the board.

Yes, now we don't have a chance at picking him at 10 now. I think Brown is going to be a bust, and now this is dropping some good offensive player

They reached for brown to replace leonard davis i guess, but nothing about levi brown really excites me that much.

Next year the tackle class it a lot deeper so this pick will look idiotic, IMO.

But you can not draft this year based on next year, not when you have to protect Lienart and because of no running game, they did not have much of a choice.

Kiper's whining about how Ginn doesn't fall on his board but that Washington might take him anyway.

That's it, Mel, take your big board and go home, then.

if petterson lasted to #10, would it be better to trade our pick to a team thats desperate for a running back, or perhaps go with the denver trade that seems to be on the table? Would they even consider moving out of the pick after the Texans FO passed on Bush last year?

Petterson at #10 is a great value, but i dont think thats kube's style.

true true but thats quite a reach there, brown at 5, there had to have been a better alternative

Landry was needed in Minny bad too. They will look Quinn or D-line here. There isn't a WR they will take at that spot IMO.

They did it but with Taylor there this is just stupid on there part. I know BPA but Anderson or Okoye would be a better fit to improve the team overall.
