2007 NFL Draft Day One Thread

there is ..but I may just check in on the official site. I just don't like the lag that sometimes the screen refreshes and sometimes not, I can't imagine what it will be like when 400+ go on there (guests and members)
when our pick is getting close

137 people on the offical board. I just checked.

I just posted something over there for first time in a long time (with a link to this board, lol).

figures.. so I take it we can expect Demeco making fun of 31 other teams for passing on him?

:splits:

To be fair, he could make fun of Houston too.
We passed on him, too, even if we were lucky enough to get him in the second.

New Zealand checking in.

Can someone suggest a more foreign fan friendly time for this thing. It is like 4am in the morning here already.... does that make me a little draft obsessed??

Any tips for the best draft tracker or a live radio feed??

There's a live tracker at NFL.com, mate!

:user: Technical question. Does this page auto refresh or will I have to sit here hitting F5.
Sub-question: When I reset it takes me to the Front screen of the message board it doesn't just refresh this thread, anyone else have this issue??

Same thing here, was wondering the same thing.

Who'd you reckon the Raiders will take?

My money's on Russell - I reckon they're looking at a Big Arm+Moss combo=wins

12:17 p.m.: I expect the Raiders to take the full 15 minutes before choosing JaMarcus Russell. If Cleveland would give up Kam Wimbley, they could have Russell right now. ESPN using Suzy on the floor in the early going.

Russell has a poker face right now. I'd go ask him a really in-depth question like, "What's going through your mind right now?" but I'm trapped between two of top editors at ESPN.com and I don't want crawl over them.

Mario Williams, who is on my floor at the W, is being interviewed right now. The NFL Network guy conducting the interview is sort of a poor man's Steve Levy. No questions yet about Williams' recent joyride.

If I was the raiders I would be trading out of that spot even if it was for 80 cents in the dollar.

If I was staying there I would be tempted to just take Joe Thomas, in my mind he is pretty close to a sure thing and he will lock up a vital position for 10 years, and you need your big uglies before you go for your rock starts.

I think I just made an argument for Levi Brown at 10....

No NFLN for me thank you time warner .................. :bat:

I like Kaiser said thought the Raiders would have taken the whole time, but they didn't. That shocked me a bit. Thought they would be trying to make a deal til the last minute.

I'm at work so I can't watch espn....I got the 610 radio stream going though.....I definitely think Russell and Johnson are going 1 and 2 (in that order)

Isn't that what everyone said about Robert Gallery?

Just hopped on to ESPN radio to listen to this thing rather than just sit here in the dark staring at a computer.

They just asked whether the Lions will start to get a bulk discount if they draft another WR. The answer no, because they like to over pay them. Glad I turned it on.

Lions had picked in the top 10 for the last 5 years! :bat:
this will be the sixth consecutive draft! :gun:

And next year will be the seventh.

Poor management, poor coaching, poor player evaluation and development.

And they keep taking wide receivers when they need more than that.

Cleveland could go a lot of ways here but I'm thinking it's between Peterson, Quinn and Thomas.

So they'll probably take Adams. :shades:
