Houston Texans vs. Denver Broncos (Game Thread)

Actually I think it's pretty obvious by this time that the backs aren't the major problem (no matter who's back there). I know this is a knew system and all, but what the hell have they been doing during OTAs and in camp so far? I've never seen run blocking this bad. Nobody is getting off the ball........nobody is getting to the second level (and I'm talking about 1st, 2nd, and 3rd string).

That's quite true. It's hard to make much happen when the offensive line plays that pathetically.

Alright - let's just see a nice methodical drive down the field and put this one out, shall we?

I know he's running against practice squad guys, but Slaton is the best running back of the bunch. He reminds me of DD.

The good thing about Slaton is that he is quick enough to work with bad to very bad run blocking. Something that we should be very interested in.

Exactly. He's the only guy we have with the speed to get around the corner.

Eh - overall (from what I read and saw) - no we're not gonna go the 16-0 as originally thought, but not too shabby.

- find the zone blocking
- find the running game

Would be some good starts. But it was the 1st preseason, let's keep that in mind as well.
