New York Giants vs. Dallas Cowboys

Here is the link to Jerry Jone's priceless look....................and an example of the representative arrogance that he displayed and probably contributed heavily to revving up the Giants in their win against his beloved Girls..........:gun:

That article is about Jerrah giving NFC Championship tix to his players and the Giants finding out about it before the game. Nice move by Jerrah, looks like he motivated the wrong team. I wonder if I can call up there and get a pair from one of the Cowboys players. I doubt that many will be making the trip up to Green Bay since TO is having free popcorn at his house on Sunday.

The tickets were a motivational tool, not a cocky gesture. They talked about it before the game. But people will turn it whatever way they please.

Favorite quote from the article"

"On the upside, the Dallas players still have tickets to the NFC Championship game. You know, just in case they happen to be in Green Bay and have a hankering for some tackle football. (Too soon?)"

This has been a really funny day.

I mean I watched the Indianapolis Chokes return to Indy, then cap it off with dem Boys losing.

Man...I busted out laughing when Strahan said what he did...priceless.

I think i'll be rooting for the G-Men just for this reason alone.

I figure this is as good a place as any to introduce my new wallpaper.

I like to call it romoface

I should get some sleep soon; I've been doing the happy dance since last night. =) Guess I have become a fan of the underdog, NYG, for this year's playoffs.

Normally I'm not a big Justice fan, but since he is mocking Dallas this morning, great article.

linky

T.O. went on to say he never had a problem with a quarterback, and a columnist from Philadelphia quickly got on the phone to his editor and announced he had breaking news.

Jeff Garcia and Donovan McNabb will choke on their waffles this morning when they read this.

My favorite part of the article :thumbup

Justice, however, per usual went over the top and got a million things wrong like the Giants relentless pressure all day..they didn't touch Romo the first 3 quarters really and how Dallas couldn't play small ball..well except for a 20 play drive for a TD and a double digit drive for a FG.

Today is going to be a good day. All the Austin VY homer are also Cowgirls homers and they all are DONE with the playoffs :). Im soooo happy!!!

They were pressuring him the whole game. You can pressure or hurry a QB without touching him. Enjoy your popcorn.

cowboy forums are on fire right now with finger pointing at everyone from JJ to Bum Lite, to Romo, to Roy Williams.

Cowboy Nation is imploding. I love this stuff!!!

Wow, that made alot of sense. Is that why the Fox halftime show talked about how in order for the Giants to win they had to get near Romo? They didn't even pressure him the first half. When Dallas abandoned the run midway through the 3rd quarter they started to. Please don't smart off about stuff that didn't happen. I tell you what, As I said earlier, I give people respect here so please do the same since I'm here as a Texasn fan too. For people who complain about Cowboy fans I've never seen a bigger group of P envy people who revel in another teams loss more than their own teams fortunes. SOME make most Cowboy fans I know seem like amateur a-holes. In order to have a rivalry maybe a Houston team needs to win more than their division. That is why I'm here to help :)

If your a Giants fan..lifelong, congrats, you deserved it. We played uninspired and you guys came after it.

Cowgirls hate Crayton right now. He is A-ok in my book :).

He deserves it. The guy dropped an easy catch that he could have gone 60 yards on..Giants scored after that punt. He then quit on a route where he was wide open at the end of the game.

really sucks that I missed this game...I figured the Cowboys would take care of the Gmen...hopefully the NFLnetwork will replay it.

It'd probably help if he kept his mouth shout and played ball. I have to admit, this is the first season I've seen a #3 or 4 WR (Crayton) talking smack before and during games. He and Phillip Rivers need to shut their pie-hole and play football because they're aren't good enough to talk smack.

Seeing Rivers taunting the Colts crowd really, really pissed me off. I mean dam dude, your backup finished your job while you were having your vahjayjay wiped down on the sideline. Shut yer face and do yer dang job, cuz you ain't that good! ****** slap*

Sorry for the rant.:)

Link please? I spend my time at the Ranch website, which in most cases is a pretty good mixture of game knowledge of benefits and concerns, draft and free agency, your occasional whiners, and trolls with the latter two being in the minority.

During the season, for obvious reasons, the Redskins, Eagles and Giants are
my least favorite teams. Moving on to next week, I would like to see the Packers win, but if it turns out the Giants, then best wishes as they prepare and play in the Super Bowl. It doesn't seem likely that anyone will be a good match for the Patriots, but, when it gets down to that level, I don't rule out anything.

I've been around here since the board was first started, so most know how I feel about the Cowboys. Do I feel pain in the loss, absolutely! Did I have a knot in my stomach during the game, uh huh! But, this too shall pass and no matter what I still love my Boys.

(Hug) You're a class act, and you know that we're not trying to be hurtful in our comments. Despite my hatred for your team. I do respect them.

unless they over achieved, im not sure yet.....it aint the afc south, but theyre division is gunna be toooooooough next year.....

Phillips is losing a couple of key assistant coaches. If they can keep T.O. I think they'll be back. Despite how much I don't like Romo I'll admit he does a great job with a hurry up offense.

There is no spin to it. I've been here for a long time and have been classy to Texan fans and am a Texas fan. I'm here and not on a Cowboy board. I'm sorry but I have grown up with the Cowboys since the 70s and was there 23 years before coming here. I never grew up hating Houston teams. I cheered for them in the AFC. You come here and it isn't that way though. I just always found it funny. I just find it counterproductive to be so spiteful of one team when your own team has never produced anything. There can't be a rivalry when one team really doesn't win or hasn't won the big one. I hope the Texans get it done and I've been here supporting it but it is the truth. I keep hearing how Houston fans hate how Cowboy fans act. Well many of us aren't that way but see how Houston people automatically throw out the Cowgirl stuff and hate on them. What is the difference? Its all obnoxious and I try not to go there.

I'm not going to cry though, they blew it.

While I hate the Cowboys I DO respect them. Landry in my opinion is one of the best coaches to ever walk a sideline. Lombardi is still the man. BTW Lombardi invented the flex defense. Look at old Packer game film from the 50's. They were using the flex before Landry gave it it's name.
Insofar as the Texans not having won anything yet. Go to the Cowboy's official page and look at their records for their first decade of existence. You'll see some striking simularities between the two clubs. Landry coached the Cowboys to five superbowls (two wins) but their first 8 years they sucked hard and went from sucky to mediocre.
The reason many of us hate the Cowboys is because we grew up having two superbowl wins rubbed in our faces in the 70's while hearing "What'd your Oilers ever win? NUTHIN'!" We also got an earful in the 90s when our team packed up and the Cowboys won three superbowls. And to be quite honest many of us were insulted by the assumtion that many in big D had that we would automatically become defacto Cowboy fans when our team bailed.
I doubt Cincinatti thought that displaced Browns fans would automatically jump on their bandwagon when their team went to Baltimore. I can't speak for all here, but despite my rancor for the Cowboy organization I respect any team capable of making 8 trips to the superbowl and winning five of those. However that being said, simply because I respect something...doesn't mean I have to like it. BTW our ribbing is all in fun we mean no disrespect.

Anyone catch this (sorry if it was posted and I missed it):

NY Post Hires “Fake” Jessica Simpson to Jinx Cowboys
Posted by Matt Loede under Dallas Cowboys, New York Giants, Off The Field News

Talk about a low blow. Leave it to the New York Post for one of the more elaborate pranks in sometime as they tried whatever they could to distract the Cowboys in Sunday’s 21-17 loss to the Giants in Dallas. Seems that the paper hired a “Fake” Jessica Simpson look-a-like in order to try and distract the Cowboys players during the game.

If Jessica had a horse face - that would totally be her. Give her some hay and ride...well you get the idea.

I know you mean no direspect and it is why I love this board and am here all the time. Support of this team and the people are all good by me. I just have to defend my team since I can truly say I grew up with them and didn't bandwagon. I'm realistic. They were a weak 13-3 and finished the season off ..since halftime of the Pack game..with uninspiring ball. The defense wasn't getting it done and they had problems on special teams. The offense stopped playing consistently. The better team won yesterday. Sucks for me but I have to hope they keep building because they have some young, talented pieces.

In consolation to all Cowboys fans I will say this in the words of Meat Loaf "Don't be sad 'cause two out of three ain't bad".

As a Cowboys fan I am disappointed but my life is too blessed to wrap it up in the ups and downs of any team..pro or otherwise.....it's up to the ones who get paid to make changes..make improvements...but I'm a fan and have been for decades. That won't change.

And kudos to the Giants. They played a great game and were the better team.

wise words

I think the whole neighborhood heard me yesterday. I went outside and heard my neighbor screaming also, he is a Redskins fan.

TO,

Forget the popcorn get your tissues ready!

Sincerely,

Michael Strahan

I did that, too. I yelled "How 'bout them Cowboys". We have some Cowboy fans across the street.

first thing I thought of after the game

Tony Romo =Danny White

Get into the playoffs but can't get over the hump

but Tony has a few more years to prove that wrong

for the record as a kid I thought Danny white was a good QB, just he had to play behind a legend retiring

Danny White was a very good QB, but when he played most of their star players were aging and or retiring and they had hardly anything left on D except Ed "To Tall" Jones.

Danny White should have been in a Super Bowl. It wasn't like he chocked. He made multiple NFC Champ games. He had the 49ers. The "Catch" happened and they still had time. He hit Drew Pearson at the 50 and he fumbled. People forget there was time left.

I'm afraid his duties as a punter were more than he could bear... :pirate:

:jk:

I give Danny White a lot of respect, especially replacing a legend which is difficult (see Miami).
