New York Giants vs. Dallas Cowboys

i went to london for christmas and wanted to get a book to read on the plane, so i walked down to the book store and went to the sports books section and BAM there it was TONY ROMO: THE NEW DALLAS GREAT... i almost threw up..... hahaha ya 0-2 playoff record warants book like that.....NOT.... i ended up gettin a bio on babe ruth.... but damn i was just disgusted, not suprised i knew some dallas lover would have somthin like that out but i mean.... c'mon

Just like I said I always enjoy seeing the Titans, Jaguars, and Colts lose I have to admit that I never really get tired of seeing the Cowboys lose. I stopped actively hating them a long time ago but it's not like I cry when they lose.

I also don't much care for Eli Manning but I'm not terribly concerned with him right now. I'm pretty sure that the Packers are going to send Jughead Jr. (or as Peyton calls him, "Mini-Me") home next weekend.

Patriots vs Packers in the Super Bowl looks like a great matchup to me.
_________
Edit: I had "Patriots vs Giants" in there. I don't know how that happened. I was thinking Packers the entire time. My Juvenile Alzheimers is kicking in again I guess.

If you have NFLN you should be watching now..... TO just put on a nice little crying episode in his post game presser..about the unfairness in the way the press treated his teammate re: the vacation. He's also thanking god and wearing sunglasses. ooh, he just took another shot at the media..... the questions from the Dallas media are laughable.... one softball and groinstroke after another. And I thought the Houston media was a bunch of cupcakes.

I'm sure some of TO's former teammates loved his comments about how he always had their backs.

Don't you mean Packers? If so I think it will be the Packers against the Patriots too. The media will have all kinds of story lines there. I'm much like you in that I don't hate the Cowboys, but a big loss by them is always good for a smile or chuckle. The one downside to the Cowboys losing to Eli & the Giants is that we'll now be subjected to even more Peyton & Eli commercials. That Double Stuff Oreo commercial already gives me a headache every time I see it, and it's only been on a few times.

ohhhh i cant see it, but im picturing it............. sweeeeeeeeeeeet, i love it........

my friend sent me a text before the game sayin "get your popcorn ready"

i just sent one back sayin "best damn popcorn ive ever had"

here is why nobody ever feels sorry for the cowboys:

When Cowboys players picked up their tickets for today's game on Friday, a surprise was waiting for them. Owner Jerry Jones had placed two complimentary tickets to the NFC Championship Game in each of their envelopes.

Most amazing press conference ever.

"I've always supported my quaterbacks. I've always had my quaterback's back."

He should have included some Giants fan gear to go along with those. What a great day. I just watched this game with about 7 Cowboys fans wearing my Giants jersey.

i promise that from jerry jones..... its a cocky gesture completly

Give me a break. The man is a smart businessman. You don't think that would have gotten out?He isn't dumb. The tickets were to show them what might await them. Both Aikman and the other announcers commented on the "ploy."

ya looks like it worked......... NOT

standing next to the head coach on the sidelines in the 4th is not a smart business decision.... hes an *****, be the owner, sign the checks and back off.....

That is why I have always stayed true to my roots. Its sad when fans of ones team joy is to cheer against another. Such pen!s envy. People in Houston are funny and it is the one thing I will never get over despite supporting the Texans.

Why do Dallas fans always try to spin things this way?

Yankees fans are Yankee fans; Met fans are Met Fans. White Sox fans hate the Red Sox (and Visa Versa) and they are in the same city!!

Do Raider fans cheer for the 49ers?...........the Chargers??

Do Cleveland Brown fans also love the Bengals???

It doesn't happen that way but the Cowboy fans want to be fans of both the Cowboys and the Texans (just in case) and can't figure out why we hate them.

right, the lord doesnt like luke warm people........ hot or cold.... hot or cold.... pick one

Trick question: Tennessee vs. Dallas, who do you cheer for?

damn...... i guess it depends on the ramafications.....

that is a good one, a really good one, i wanna say the cowboys, but if it helps our playoff chances then i might hope the titans get beat, good one.

He has 3 SBs and the most profitable team in the NFL, not too bad. Most would kill for it. But whatever floats your boat. Again, I'm not happy but comfortible without the hate.

I've been waching ESPN for 20 minutes and have seen T.O. cry 4 freaking times. I love it but I'm not into sequels. (changes channel to NFLN)

Wow. The Texans finally go 8-8 and neither Indy or Dallas make it past the 2nd round. My football year is going pretty good so far.

I've been around here since the board was first started, so most know how I feel about the Cowboys. Do I feel pain in the loss, absolutely! Did I have a knot in my stomach during the game, uh huh! But, this too shall pass and no matter what I still love my Boys.

I assume you meant White Sox and Cubs fans since the Red Sox are in Boston and White Sox are in Chicago.
And none of the folks from Chicago, that I know, "hate" the other guys. They chose one team or the other and cheer for that team. But White Sox fans never cheer AGAINST the Cubs unless they're playing each other during inter-league play. And when the White Sox won the World Series (by sweeping the Astros) no Cub fan I know cheered for the Astros against the White Sox. They either couldn't care less - cause the Cubs weren't in it - or they cheered for the hometown team.

Also, no Astro fans I know cheer for the Rangers to lose or vice versa.

This Cowboy hatred thing is caused principally by the obnoxious way that some Cowboy fans act toward Houston teams.

There is no spin to it. I've been here for a long time and have been classy to Texan fans and am a Texas fan. I'm here and not on a Cowboy board. I'm sorry but I have grown up with the Cowboys since the 70s and was there 23 years before coming here. I never grew up hating Houston teams. I cheered for them in the AFC. You come here and it isn't that way though. I just always found it funny. I just find it counterproductive to be so spiteful of one team when your own team has never produced anything. There can't be a rivalry when one team really doesn't win or hasn't won the big one. I hope the Texans get it done and I've been here supporting it but it is the truth. I keep hearing how Houston fans hate how Cowboy fans act. Well many of us aren't that way but see how Houston people automatically throw out the Cowgirl stuff and hate on them. What is the difference? Its all obnoxious and I try not to go there.

I'm not going to cry though, they blew it.

this is why some Texans fans - and before that, Oiler fans - "hate" the Cowboys.

If more of the Cowboy fanbase was like H-Frog, maybe there wouldn't be so much "friction". But most of the Cowboy fans I've run across were just like Wesman described. They act like them damned N.E. Patriot fans. And there's absolutely no excuse for a Texan to have the same lack of manners as a new england yankee.

Well sorry you guys have met bad ones. I just grew up with it and enjoyed the ride. The past decade has been tough but I think it made me a better fan in that I stopped taking the losses so badly where it ruined my days and started accepting that each season is a long road. Overall I just get a little defensive in it but mostly it was just a tough loss. Bed time soon. Talk to you guys soon.

As Strahan said after the game, TO can now enjoy his popcorn from the comfort of his own home as he get's to watch the Giants and Packers play next Sunday. Mmmm, I can just smell it now and it smells so good!
