what is the word on Franchione? I know yall have a pretty good record but are only ~.500 in the BIG 12. Is there talk that he needs to beat ut to keep his job? just curious.

I can imagine that Fran will not be here next year if he doesn't do something in the TU game. The fact is, we should be at least 10-1 right now. We lost both the Tech game and the Nebraska game due to critical coaching decisions that were not made. We barely lost those games, too.... I think we have lost the three games by less than 5 points. I can't remember though... I don't like to think about that.

I put OU at #9 because that is where they deserve to be. They really should only have 1 loss (we all know that they got screwed by the PAC-10) and their one loss came to a solid Texas team...(not lowly Kstate) so in my mind they should be top 10.

Three weeks ago I would have put Texas in the top 5-6 in the country but they have played bad the last three weeks, thus they drop. It is not ut's prerogative to always be in the top 10 despite what some of you might think. Heck, ut is ranked so high pre-season every year that they have to lose 3 games to not get into a BCS game....ridiculous.

I hate to ruin your parade but it doesnt matter how many losses you should have. It matters how many you do have. Oklahoma got hosed on the onside kick but their defense still coulda held Oregon. Didnt do it. So they had a chance at a game winning field goal. Didnt do it.

Texas woulda beat KState with McCoy at the helm. That said, their loss still counts.

Texas beat Oklahoma at a neutral site & they have the same number of losses. They should be in front of them.

You can not count on coulda shoulda and woulda, unless it is UT right? If Nebraska would not have fumbled the ball on the 35 Texas would have lost, remember? Texas did not stop KState, the offense was not the problem it was the defense. Since the loses do count, Texas has 2 and there for should be behind teams with one loss, hence why I put Rutgers ahead of so many teams, including Ark who just seems to be getting better each and every week.

You dont think that Texas should be in front of Oklahoma?

That is the only team I said needed to move.
 
Honestly, No but either way; your rankings having Texas 8th is a joke. Wisconsin, ND, and others have one Loss and you put Texas infront of them.

All I said is that Oklahoma should drop below Texas in someone else's rankings.

maybe i shouldn't have said "some of the dumbest plays" bacause every qb makes back decisions (watching college football this years made me realized there are a lot of *****s playing qb). however, he makes plays no other qb in the country can make. plus, he has finally realized that he can run and has picked up big first downs in the last couple of games. there is no need to hate on the guy when he isn't the reason why lsu lost two games this year.

well if dwayne bowe can hang onto the ball he only throws one pick (which was a bad decision you could tell he was trying to make up for the fumble on the goal line by forcing a big play to lafell) and we might be able to get within one score and try the onside kick. the florida lose isn't on jamarcus any more then it is on chevis jackson, doucet, brett helms, bowe, the lack of a running game and the coaches. no one played well. by far his worst game was tennessee but he was still able to lead the game winning drive against a top ten team on the road.
