This 2026 mock offers some college players to watch for 2026 draft.
Good news: NYG picking early helps Houston as we have one of their picks.

Bad news: we drop from 25 to 21.

Good news: These draft slots are totally speculative.

What a position the Browns could be in if Manning declares and Gabriel or Sanders hits during the season. I wonder what the Browns could command if they were to trade out of 1?
That could be a transformation trade that exceeds the Cowboys Walker haul and set up their franchise for years to come.

Excuse me, but I only warch my clothes once per week. And my body monthly. Mama makes me.

I’m not crowning a QB who couldn’t beat out a 7th round pick.
We know why Sanders dropped in the draft. Totally showed his arse during the draft process. But WTH did Ewers do to drop to the 7th? I've been a harsh critic of Ewers in the past.

Ewers looked awful yesterday against a Rice team that doesn't have a player that Texas even considered recruiting. Accuracy deep is laughable. Uncoordinated and hesitant in the pocket. How Ewers has landed in the 1st round on preseason mocks is nutty. He's got a lot of work to do to get to the level of the guys that went day 3 in this past draft, like O'Connell and Tune.
Now that was 2 years ago. Ewers has gotten better. And he almost went undrafted. That's crazy to me. I think Ewers will get starts at QB for the Dolphins because...Tua will eventually go down.

Round 1
DT/NT/DE
Caleb Banks 6'6" 330 Florida

Round 2
LG Cayden Green 6'5" 316 Missouri

Round 2
LB coverage Sonny Stiles 6'4 235
Ohio State

Round 3 NYG OG Emmanuel Pregnon Oregon

Round 4 RB Darius Taylor 6' 215
Minnesota

Round 4 WR Nick Anderson 6'4 219
Injury concerns

Maybe but last season as a junior he started only 8 games and that was between two positions. He better have a great 2025 to even be considered in the draft. I cannot even find him on a big board of any analyst yet.
I think FCS players typically don’t show up on boards until late in the season

2026 NFL Prospects

Ethan Onianwa, OT, Ohio State

The Ohio State offensive line was a powerhouse in 2024, leading the Buckeyes to a national championship on the back of an elite run game. But starters Donovan Jackson, Josh Simmons, Seth McLaughlin and Josh Fryar are all gone. To help build a new front wall, the Buckeyes tapped into the transfer portal and picked Onianwa, who previously played at Rice.

A four-year player with the Owls, Onianwa has starting experience at both tackle spots, with nine starts coming on the left side last season. His stat line was absurd, with no sacks allowed and just eight total pressures and two penalties attributed to him all season. The 6-foot-6 Onianwa is listed at 357 pounds and plays with the power expected of a man that size.

"I can't wait to see him against Texas [in Week 1]. His agility and power on tape are insane ... we'll know by about 1 p.m. if he's a legit prospect or not," an AFC East area scout said. Onianwa will get a trial by fire facing star Longhorns pass rushers Colin Simmons, Anthony Hill Jr. and Trey Moore.

In a 2026 class that looks loaded at offensive tackle, Onianwa has plenty of competition atop that group. If he can ace the Ohio State schedule and lock down future first-round pass rushers, his stock will soar.”

Onianwa was also mentioned by Connor Rogers on the NFLSE OT podcast. If we keep Ersery at RT, then we might be looking to draft our LT of the future.

They not only will be keeping Ersery, he's likely the LT of the future.

Gotta fix the OL. draft Slaughter Florida Center in rd 1. Trade back into the 1st for a RT. remember Caserio has two 2ns a 3rd and two 4ths.
It is still early, however tankathon has Slaughter going 39 to Indy. That is why I would trade down with the Giants again at approximately 35 to get him and add a trade package similar to what landed Jackson Dart for New York.
More of an issue is we may need three interior linemen and possibly another tackle in the offseason. At this point, the only confidence I have is in rookie Ersery.

1st of all it's way too early to speculate.

But if they really like Slaughter then Caserio shouldn't fool around trying to trade down and take a chance on losing the guy he really likes.

I was looking at Dane Brugler's preseason rankings in The Athletic, and I saw that he had Slaughter ranked 19th among Senior interior linemen. That surprised me as Slaughter was 1st team AP All American as well as 1st team All SEC.

Slaughter is a 5th year senior and is lean at 6'5" 294lbs. I don't have stuff like arm length or timing measurements. But Brugler probably does. and Brugler gets a lot of his stuff from scouts and coaches. Doesn't look like the NFL sees Slaughter as a 1st rounder. Doesn't mean he can't make it in the NFL. Centers are built into NFL players more than born.

Preseason top 25 seniors (all measurements are NFL-verified)

1. Roberts
2. Zuhn
3. Jones
4. DJ Campbell, Texas (6-2 5/8, 316)
5. Emmanuel Pregnon, Oregon (6-4 3/8, 320)
6. Jeremiah Wright, Auburn (6-4 5/8, 341)
7. Fernando Carmona, Arkansas (6-4, 326)
8. Josh Thompson, LSU (6-4, 307)
9. Bryce Foster, Kansas (6-4 3/8, 312)
10. Joshua Braun, Kentucky (6-6 1/4, 347)
11. Dillon Wade, Auburn (6-2 7/8, 297)
12. Connor Tollison, Missouri (6-3 1/2, 288)
13. Mason Randolph, Boise State (6-3 1/8, 295)
14. Mark Petry, Syracuse (6-4 1/4, 301)
15. Jaren Kump, Utah (6-5 3/8, 318)
16. Daniel King, North Carolina (6-3 1/2, 349)
17. Sam Hecht, Kansas State (6-4, 297)
18. Weylin Lapuaho, BYU (6-3 3/4, 307)
19. Jake Slaughter, Florida (6-4 7/8, 294)
20. Ar’Maj Reed-Adams, Texas A&M (6-5 1/8, 338)

It sure would be nice if Caserio could add a LT in the 1st rd and trade back into the top of the 2nd for Slaughter. Caserio has the picks to really move around in the draft next yr.

I think Demeco probably wants a stud interior DL. Probably time to get a stud RB too. I would get a OL next year as well. I would not be surprised if they go interior DL first pick though if the right guy is around

From my research, here is what the Texans draft assets are for 2026 and where they come from.

(1) 1st Round - Texans
(2) 2nd Round - Texans + Commanders
(1) 3rd Round - Giants
(2) 4th Round - Texans + Commanders
(0) 5th Round
(1) 6th Round - Eagles
(2) 7th Round - Texans + 49ers

The extra picks could come in handy if the Texans play themselves into the back of the 2026 NFL Draft.

We might not need a C if Andrews turns into the guy, but I guess we’ll see.

I just took a look at Bruglar’s list. He has Logan Jones at #5. He’s been a guy I was looking forward to see this season.

I can see Nick trading out of round one for a high round two and drafting Oregon's left tackle Isaiah World and in the third round, center from Oregon Laloula. Makhi Hughes RB and OG Cayden Green with our current round twos.

Right now, I prefer Green over Texas A& M's Reed-Adams but season could change that. We should have the opportunity to take care of our iol in the draft. Wouldn't it be nice if we did not have to? Regardless of how our offensive line does in 2025, I think I want to go heavy in the draft.
