What a position the Browns could be in if Manning declares and Gabriel or Sanders hits during the season. I wonder what the Browns could command if they were to trade out of 1?
That could be a transformation trade that exceeds the Cowboys Walker haul and set up their franchise for years to come.

We know why Sanders dropped in the draft. Totally showed his arse during the draft process. But WTH did Ewers do to drop to the 7th? I've been a harsh critic of Ewers in the past.

Ewers looked awful yesterday against a Rice team that doesn't have a player that Texas even considered recruiting. Accuracy deep is laughable. Uncoordinated and hesitant in the pocket. How Ewers has landed in the 1st round on preseason mocks is nutty. He's got a lot of work to do to get to the level of the guys that went day 3 in this past draft, like O'Connell and Tune.

Now that was 2 years ago. Ewers has gotten better. And he almost went undrafted. That's crazy to me. I think Ewers will get starts at QB for the Dolphins because...Tua will eventually go down.

“Ethan Onianwa, OT, Ohio State​

The Ohio State offensive line was a powerhouse in 2024, leading the Buckeyes to a national championship on the back of an elite run game. But starters Donovan Jackson, Josh Simmons, Seth McLaughlin and Josh Fryar are all gone. To help build a new front wall, the Buckeyes tapped into the transfer portal and picked Onianwa, who previously played at Rice.

A four-year player with the Owls, Onianwa has starting experience at both tackle spots, with nine starts coming on the left side last season. His stat line was absurd, with no sacks allowed and just eight total pressures and two penalties attributed to him all season. The 6-foot-6 Onianwa is listed at 357 pounds and plays with the power expected of a man that size.

"I can't wait to see him against Texas [in Week 1]. His agility and power on tape are insane ... we'll know by about 1 p.m. if he's a legit prospect or not," an AFC East area scout said. Onianwa will get a trial by fire facing star Longhorns pass rushers Colin Simmons, Anthony Hill Jr. and Trey Moore.


In a 2026 class that looks loaded at offensive tackle, Onianwa has plenty of competition atop that group. If he can ace the Ohio State schedule and lock down future first-round pass rushers, his stock will soar.”

Onianwa was also mentioned by Connor Rogers on the NFLSE OT podcast. If we keep Ersery at RT, then we might be looking to draft our LT of the future.

They not only will be keeping Ersery, he's likely the LT of the future.

It is still early, however tankathon has Slaughter going 39 to Indy. That is why I would trade down with the Giants again at approximately 35 to get him and add a trade package similar to what landed Jackson Dart for New York.
More of an issue is we may need three interior linemen and possibly another tackle in the offseason. At this point, the only confidence I have is in rookie Ersery.

1st of all it's way too early to speculate.

But if they really like Slaughter then Caserio shouldn't fool around trying to trade down and take a chance on losing the guy he really likes.

Early as I said but Nick has a way of getting the guy he wants just like failing to trade up for Higgins and getting him anyway.
