Is a Cooper Kupp trade doable?

Brian Thomas Jr had 87 for 1282 and 10tds
McConkey had 82 for 1100 and 7 tds
Both were taken late 1st rd and out performed everyone not named Nico. Get a young wr no later than 2nd rd which they didn't do last year. The college passing game allows teams to get great value on wrs.
I am not bashing Nick but we could have had Brian Thomas jr. He was also fourth this year for offensive Rookie of the Year. Young players on cheap contract is how we manage the salary cap.

Yet most keep wanting guys who need more time to build up speed. We need WRs with different traits to compliment each other not 2 or 3 Nicos. I remember that year the Panthers used the same type of starting WRs (tall and big bodied), it was not good.
I do agree, but I would definitely take another two or three Nico's! LOL I would trust they would find some way to make it work.

Point taken, posters were saying this same thing after the Mixon trade.

My thinking is this, I would trade for Kupp and sign Robinson in FA if the Rams were willing to eat enough of Kupp's contract to make the trade worth it for the Texans.

Either way I'm adding Robinson in FA and either adding a WR in trade or FA and drafting another WR in by the 4th rd at the latest. Caserio needs to totally rebuild the WR room. The current room is either unhealth or not good enough.
Post June 1st trade will allow Rams to almost double cap savings by allowing them to spread the dead money over 2 years. 12 million up to 20 million savings comparison. That's why I suggested that the Rams pay the base salaries rather than the bonuses.

Here is a short article that explains some of the things I was talking about with Cooper Kupp:

Cardinals used tear it up with Fitzgerald and Boldin.

If Kupp re-structures or signs with the Texans after being cut I could see this happening.

I would love to add Kupp/Demarcus Robinson and Jaylin Noel to Nico this offseason. Also add Noteboom and draft Grey Zabel. Then go defense with the rest of the draft. Add a DT/CB in the 2nd/3rd rds and a CB later in the draft.
Do you see Noteboom coming in at LT and cutting/trading Tunsil and Howard this offseason?

From ^^^ link

Mike DeFabo at the Athletic seems to have a fair comp for the trade. He recently wrote that a fourth-round pick would likely do the trick for Kupp, a small asking price considering his history as a top receiver.

The Rams released him today because they couldn’t find a trade partner, so I guess that’s the opinion of the rest of the league.
His $20M salary was the biggest factor there

While he is a good WR and could perhaps help the transition to the new system. I hope we steer clear. Like Diggs, he is getting older, injuries happen at a higher rate (typically) as you age. Plus his contract is pretty high and he likely has 1 or 2 good solid years left. I would rather take a WR in the draft. You can get a starter in the first 2 rounds and maybe into the 3rd. And you get them cheaper, younger, easier to mold. And still leaves room for other signings
