Week 13: Texans vs Jaguars

Look, its a dumb hit and clearly a penalty. It is a symptom of the lack of discipline we've all complained about all year and an ongoing problem. When you're not disciplined **** like this will happen. Not sure why it has to be "dirty". It's football. It wasn't a blind side hit, it wasn't dirty, it was illegal. This same kind of thing happens every weekend all over the country and the difference between fencing and not fencing is about 8 inches. There is too much coincidence to where the hit happens at this point. If lawrence is a little more upright we aren't having this conversation. I honestly don't understand the outrage over this stuff.

If the NFL doesn't want QBs to take a hit in that situation, they need to give QB's a signal kind of like a fair catch.

And the signal wouldn't have even worked because it happened at the same time.

It's not about the player or the hit it's about football. It's about the nature of these guys. I want good football. I'd be infinitely more furious if a Texans defender didn't tackle a player due to fear for penalty and he went off for 40 yards or a TD or a critical first of something. And it's happened across football so many times over the last however long it's been since these overregulators have ruined sports.

Bang bang play imo. But the nature of the league will lead to a suspension imo.

Since we normally only score TDs on the first half and ZERO points on the second half, should we expect a pick 6 fest on this second half since we scored ZERO TDS on the first half today?

I saw a forearm to the shoulder for the initial contact and then it slid up. Yes he should not have launched and yes he had time to avoid him. Yes it was a cheap shot. He was ejected and will be fined. These types of plays happen all the time. Take all the emotion out of it, it is what it is. It'll be dealt with. The sky is not falling....yet

No, hes not suppose to hold his hand. He’s a grown man. He’s a captain. Captains are suppose to lead by example. What example does that set for our young players? I get those type of plays happen and I like how azeez play but your team needing leadership in the biggest moments, you don’t expect bone head plays from your captains or vets.
What, I’ve seen players like JJ Watt, Cushing, Ray Lewis and many others make bone headed plays out there. Dude you’re reaching big time here.

Play in the colts game just now where Richardson was sliding and the Patriots guy doesn't hit up to make him think twice about it, get some licks to wear him down, etc. Nothing to effect the game going forward.

Just taps Richardson's hip and the play is over.

What vaginally-driven garbage.

Abosoltely. I am old enough to have seen another Stingley be permanently paralyzed in a football game. I’m not sure who I’m more disgusted with. Azeez, or fans saying who cares it’s only a Jag. These are human beings. Disgusting attitude..
What fan/fans say that crap? I haven’t heard or read any suck thing.

Oh no a hit was hard let's flag him cuz he's got a reputation and oh no the players erupted so let's eject players.

I fully expect Al-Shair to get fined and suspended.

They expect these players to be Circque de fuckin Soleil ova heah.
As you are someone who doesn't follow the rules of this message board repeatedly, I would expect you not to expect the players to follow rules.

Not a human being....a Jag!

You can hate it all you want, but it's the rules. Azeez knows it. He choose to ignore the rule and blatantly and unnecessarily hit a protected played in a protected position. He gets paid millions to know better, and as a leader on the defense he should have avoided the hit. He took absolutely zero off the hit and it cost the Jags their QB, Azeez's ability to play today and will likely be suspended as we ramp into the playoffs. It was an undisciplined play, a theme of this team since Demeco took over.

So that punt we have a chance to pin them back. What is our guy looking at? Nothing. Not a clue where the ball is Again. They are failing in every aspect of the game

The signal is the slide. That’s the entire reason you slide. You are considered a defenseless player at that point, and you have to pull up. You certainly don’t go full force with a forearm to the head and neck area. 100% total cheapshot. It’s not that hard dude. Crazy to defend the indefensible.
