I see why I didn't remember him with the Texans...............it lasted for the blink of an eye.
The Texans have hired ex-Patriots exec Steve Cargile as senior personnel executive-assistant director of pro scouting. The have promoted DJ Debick to director of pro scouting. They have also promoted Bailee Brown to national scout from area scout.
https://www.texanstalk.com/threads/texans-random-thought-of-the-day.77396/post-3426365Texans have hired someone in management and promoted someone else according to what I heard. Not taking the time tonight to find a link.
I'll see if I can get their prison addresses. Sure they need pen pals.Anyone seen @MeatBear and his chip stealing friend??
Do you have a link on 40 time from PFF or John McCain?Meh...I heard Cargile is coming off an ACL and that Bailee's 40-time is slow.![]()
Morbid curiosity?Anyone seen @MeatBear and his chip stealing friend??
Yes, it is/was always fun to try and decipher their messages!Morbid curiosity?
Fun? I tried on a couple and they just skimmed over them.Yes, it is/was always fun to try and decipher their messages!
would have preferred around week 10 or 11....14 seems a bit late in the season but will give the team a bit of rest for final stretch of the season...so I guess thats a plus...but if we get injuries early in important position(s) then thats gonna be a bummer...hopefully we dont get bit by that damn injury bug again this season. The Texans Bye week is week 14. Seems better than week 7 for injury purposes.
It will be almost halfway through their season this yearwould have preferred around week 10 or 11....14 seems a bit late in the season but will give the team a bit of rest for final stretch of the season...so I guess thats a plus...but if we get injuries early in important position(s) then thats gonna be a bummer...hopefully we dont get bit by that damn injury bug again this season.
LOL, it took me way too long to 'get it' (I'm not much of a morning-person) but I agree! It will be almost halfway through their season this year![]()
I thought so at first. But if you remember late in the season was when the team really needed a week off. The whole starting DL seemed to be on a limited snap count if they were even healthy enough to play. And Stroud missing two games with a concussion didn’t help in that stretch.would have preferred around week 10 or 11....14 seems a bit late in the season but will give the team a bit of rest for final stretch of the season...so I guess thats a plus...but if we get injuries early in important position(s) then thats gonna be a bummer...hopefully we dont get bit by that damn injury bug again this season.
True enough, but every season is different. On the one hand I hate that the bye comes so late, on the other hand it would be a nice prelude into the 2nd season. But if you remember late in the season was when the team really needed a week off
Does Cincy still make them pay for gatorade?Joe Mixon will love the food at the Texans facility- going from the worst (F-) to the 3rd best (A-)

From A to F-minus: Why cafeterias around the NFL received high -- and low -- marks
ESPN spoke with several teams about the best -- and worst -- NFL food programs based on the NFLPA report cards released in February.www.espn.com
It's perfect timing this year. Week 15 starts the 3 games in 10 days against Miami,KC, Balt. They really need to stack up the wins before that stretchThe Texans Bye week is week 14. Seems better than week 7 for injury purposes.
The article didn't mention that.Does Cincy still make them pay for gatorade?
I still remember that being a thing JJo noticed when he came from there that we didn't charge players for gatorade.
Just to clarify...the Bengals used to limit players on how much Gatorade they could take home with them, not how much they could partake of at their facilities.........................players were taking crates of Gatorade home with them, routinely distributing them to family and friends.Does Cincy still make them pay for gatorade?

Well that is a whole nother thing!Just to clarify...the Bengals used to limit players on how much Gatorade they could take home with them, not how much they could partake of at their facilities.........................players were taking crates of Gatorade home with them, routinely distributing them to family and friends.
Whoa... first time I'm hearing about this. Don't know why it didn't cross my mind before, but yeah, Kubes is perfect.
Now would probably be a good time to do the stadium upgrades.![]()

C.J. Stroud, Houston Texans Warned of 'Rat Poison' Ahead of 2024 Campaign
The Houston Texans are hearing every bit of praise ahead of the 2024 NFL season, and its rooting from the emergence of budding superstar quarterback C.J. Stroudwww.si.com
Many of us (not steelbtexans) said the same thing about the other guy at this time in his career. Things changed as we got closer to that contract year & flipped dafuh out of the switch.I think we fans are all aware of the 'rat poison' issue, after our last "star" QB decided to jump off the ship of humanity. The good news, is that (so far) Stroud seems to have learned the lesson of humility through his tough upbringing. Him "smack talking" with friends in podcasts is very different than deciding that he can do no wrong in life outside of football.
Derrick was saying the same things after his rookie season. Heck, he even got baptized in the River Jordan during his rookie year off-season. Hopefully things turn out differently this time around. You beat me to it! Hopefully, 'you know who' is an outlier with the Texans. Many of us (not steelbtexans) said the same thing about the other guy at this time in his career. Things changed as we got closer to that contract year & flipped dafuh out of the switch.
Easy, all that needs to be done is to keep Stroud away from the River Jordan.Derrick was saying the same things after his rookie season. Heck, he even got baptized in the River Jordan during his rookie year off-season. Hopefully things turn out differently this time around. Time will tell.
