He can run routes out of the backfield and his pass pro improved. Dallas is a badly run org IMHO. I'm not down on Pollard at all. He can make the 1st guy miss, can run routes and catch passes and can be an adequate pass pro, sign me up for this, as long as he's used right he can be a great weapon.

Henry is a power back, we dont run a power scheme. If you dont believe me look at DP this year vs Motor.
Henry is old and has been ridden hard and put up wet. If the titans still thought he was in his prime and plenty of gas in the tank they would have attempted to keep him. He's been over used for years and the age and tread on those tired legs worry me.

Have you seen Titans oline which is rated the worse in the nfl. You're making excuses. Let take Barkley best year where they said he packed the team to the playoffs.
Yards after contact 563, Henry 799. Barkley broken tackles 12, Henry 35. Receiving yards338, Henry398. 1st downs Barkley 62, Henry 65. We already know Barkley ran for 1300 and Henry over 1500 plus double digit tds. So where agin is Barkley batter than Henry? That was Barkley best year in his career, that was not Henry best year. It was probably his 3rd best year.

Just looked at the numbers at OTC and it does make sense. After Jones signing, if Armstead is released he probably thinks (rightfully so) that he can get more than the $17.5M he's due for 2024. SF needs the cap room and can free up $18M by making him a post June cut

Titans ran outside zone scheme, not power. He's a powerful back, but he's a 1 cut runner. Go look at the tweet by lance zeirline i posted about scheme fit. Barkley dances in the backfield, he'd not a 1 cut, downhill runner. The same thing you're saying about being in their prime, can be said about Barkley. You still haven't told me why the super back Barkely has avg under 4 ypc over the last yrs

Henry impressed me this year with a bad oline and a rookie qb and he still had 1100 and 10 tds. He still has the burst and he still the rb where guys are making business decisions. On a side note, those rb dumpoffs to him are a nightmare to defenses. Look at his yds per catch on those too. He also have shown to play well when nicked which is a huge factor when playing running back. He's been very,very durable. I would pair him with a Jaylin Wright or a Ray Davis like they did getting Spears. You don't get anymore physical offensively than Henry when you have a lead of softening up the other teams defense. Opposing teams played 8 in the box this year and in years past. He wouldn't see that in Houston.

I agree and expect to see movement on a running back in the next 2 days with legal tampering beginning Monday.

Barkley’s career stats don’t make for the impressive reading I’d expected to see of a player being spoken of in the light he is.
For me, I worry that that has been down to injury more than it has the team around him. He’s a good player, for sure, but there is a reason veteran running backs aren’t being paid what he is expected to be paid. Singletary had solid numbers, is there not good RBs to come in and hopefully improve on that late in the draft?

Something I’m not seeing talked about much here is the Safety position, DeMeco seems aware of the limitations he had there last year. A ton of safeties have hit the market in the run up to FA. They had the right idea IMHO last year to bring in Jimmy Ward but the move didn’t quite work out, he didn’t hit his stride due to injury and didn’t seem to be a fit with Pitre.

If the Texans can sign a great player alongside Pitre, who can cover the back end and allow Jaylen to go make plays, we get 2 players for 1. But who is out there? Justin Simmons?

With the $ we have available and the up and coming team we have...im really surprised we havent heard of any signings and deals today...
Wilkens gone, Jacobs gone, Swift gone, lost greenard and crickets from the Texans so far...ugh

And this is just the “tampering” period.

Funny that they came up with the tampering period because deals were being made within minutes after the official start to free agency. Seems the exact same thing is happening within minutes of the tampering period starting. Don’t really see the difference.

This really sucks losing Greenard and Cashman. Don't mind losing out on big splashes as much but I want to keep our own guys at least. I get our defense is such that it's often plug and play, revolving door, players look great and get paid and all that. Still stinks. Two key cogs.
